It absorbs sunlight during day, and emits the sunlight during night.
Yep. It emits sunlight, meaning it will burn zombies and skeletons in a 15 block radius during night.
At night, it emits the sunlight during 1/4 the time it spent charging, so it doesn't get overpowered.
i.e. It charges for 4 minutes, and discharges the light during 1 minute at night.
Mh.. Seems like a good idea, but there are a lot of mods that already change night back into day. TooManyItems for example, has a button for the current day time.
So much wrong in this.
OP: Cool idea but they are kinda cheap and it could be overpowered with burning mobs.
Edit: Defiantly replace the glowstone dust with a full piece of glowstone at least.

I think you didn't understand...
This is just like normal glowstone, except that it needs to charge during day and it burns zombies and skeletons in a 15 block radius, and not on the entire world like TMI.
So it's like one of those solar lamps that charge during the day. I like this! Here are my two cents on this suggestion:
1. You said that 1/4 of the time spent charging would be the time it emits light. As a minecraft day lasts 10 minutes, I'm only getting 2.5/7 minutes of anti-zombie in the night. This is fine by me. A way to store the charge and then emit it, like a weapon, would be
2. Does the emitting face have to BE in sunlight, like a solar panel? If so, it would put a dent in mob farms trying to use this
3: I like the inclusion of smoothstone and glowdust. The player now has to put a little bit of effort into crafting these.
I approve. This is a balanced suggestion and I would like to see it in the game as at least a mod, if not in the full game

1. Thanks!
2. Yep, it must face sunlight.
3. Thanks!
It's the Sunlight Burster.

What it does:
It absorbs sunlight during day, and emits the sunlight during night.

Yep. But it doesn't affect creepers and endermen. (and makes spiders neutral)
Then it should be buffed a bit
I'm unsure about this, as each recipe yields only one burster.
And the lights last a little time, the biggest time you can get it working is ~3 minutes, and and you can't do it before going to the nether, so...
