Hello fellow citizens of Minecraftia! I'm here to give you all a few ideas on Enchantments and EXP that I've gathered together playing in the past few days.
-EXP Container Block
I believe it would be extremely helpful for there to be a block to store your levels in. Have you ever gone out into the night, battling monsters and gathering massive loads of EXP? I know I sure have. And imagine the luck of it all when a creeper comes up right as you get to the door of your castle, and takes all of those hard earned levels with it into the dust. A system of storage for EXP would not only add benefit for the variety of blocks in an Enchantment room, but also add away to stockpile and save levels when you'd like to explore, but just don't feel like enchanting that half-broken Diamond pickaxe you've been using.
-Enchantmet Ideas
And now for a couple of ideas for the actual enchantment aspect of the game.
[Sword] Lucky Strike - Has a chance to cause a mob to drop extra EXP per level on death.
[Sword] Agile Lunge - Increases the attacking range of the sword slightly per level.
[Sword] Focus - Slight increase of critical damage per level.
[Sword] Leech - Very rare chance to recover small amount of health when attacking. Increased chance per level.
[Sword] Fireborn - Does increased damage to Blazes, Ghasts, Zombie Pigmen, and Magma cubes.
[Bow] Nimble Touch - Slight increase of charging speed for arrows per level.
[Bow] Robinhood - Adds another level of drawback. Highest level will fire 3 arrows in a spread.
[Fishing Rod] Forged Cast - Fish caught with this rod will be cooked. Lights mobs on fire.
[Fishing Rod] Lucky Cast - Has a chance to catch extra fish, higher chance per level.
[Hoe] Green Thumb - Has a chance to gain extra wheat with harvest. Uses double duribility when harvesting.
[Boots] Hermes' Blessing - Increases walking and sprinting speed, but consumes stamina bar quicker. Negates effect of Soul Sand.
[Boots] Poseidon's Blessing - Increases maneuvering speed in liquids, but consumes stamina bar quicker whilst swimming.
Thanks for reading, and hopefuly I kept it short and sweet enough for the communities' liking. :smile.gif:
Please give credit where it's due if you decide to incorperate any of this into a mod. Thanks. <3
Have fun Minecrafting! ~Chaos / Kai
Love all the ideas, but I'm wondering about this one:
How would the game keep track of that? Or rather, how can we tell which tilled soil has this effect?
When you hit the wheat block with the hoe, it has a chance to give you extra wheat, as does a pick with the Fortune skill. Pretty simple really. :tongue.gif:

Oh... Oops, my bad... (Fast reading FTL /o/)
But anyway, now that you cleared that up, mass support to these ideas >w

Isnt that from the champ mod?
