It annoys me sometimes that I'm very limmitted in colorful things, I sometimes use wool in places they make no sense, why? Because wool is the only thing to dye.
We should be able to dye a few more things, not everything, just some things to give tons of asthetic possibilities. Here's a list of things we should be able to dye:
Iron ingots - pretty metal, so we can finally have red swords, and yellow armor that actually helps.
Stone - stone is boring right now, it has no variation, what if I want a limestone cavern? An orange canyon?
Glass - a popular suggestion, a lot of people like stained glass.
Things may be added to the list later.
Anything crafted with dyed iron will make a dyed iron tool, mixed colors make normal iron things, so they have to be solid colors. Some things have no colorful versions, such as compasses and pistons. Colorful stone is tinted grey, and drops normal cobblestone, dyed stone can't be crafted into dyed stone items or blocks, instead they have normal color.
Also, an optional thing: natural occurring dyed stone, it still drops normal cobble, so it has no difference from stone unless you use a silk touch pickaxe. Stone color varies in biomes and depths.
Please post feedback and ideas for more things to dye!
I think a dye and water bucket should make paint, and you can right click any block to colour it that colour. Maybe even mobs (just for fun :smile.gif:). One use only. That's my idea.
Hello,
I think this is a great idea, I have been thinking the exact samething and was going to make my own post but found this. I like the idea of stained glass and would love if you could color stone I mean look around coloerd rocks are every where in landscaping.

True survival server, and fun!
how did I forget glass? Well, I'm definitely adding that to the list. +1
Thanks! That's part of why iron is on the list. Some people don't see the use in these, but they can be a major asthetic boost.
