Now, I think vanilla Minecraft is too easy even with hardcore mode and zombies busting doors. To be honest, even dungeons are easy. So are strongholds with the only spawners being the one silverfish spawner in the portal room. Now, imagine a new harder dungeons than anything ever before in the vanilla version.
It would be large like strongholds, but with rooms made out of obsidian and spawners of any kind (except ghasts, blazes, enderdragons, pigmen and giants, of course)inside the walls. Loot chests would have any minerals and up to iron tools and armour, normal loot displayed in dungeon/stronghold loot and even books and paper. This would be a necessary reward, of course, seeing that creepers, cave spiders, skeletons and all of those other mobs would be spawning all around you. Destroying the spawners in some rooms would be almost impossible without a diamond pick seeing the longer break time for obsidian without one. Ores would also be about 1/16 more possible to spawn.
They wouldn't be too rare, as the super dungeon or "Ghost Cavern" would not have access to any dimension other than the nether if you even happen to survive with your flint and steel. It would also not be too common, as they might spawn close to the surface causing cave spiders and such to spawn near your area before you light it up and making it hard to tell what's beneath you and having all that nice loot in the chests would just be too valuable.
Please post your ideas on this, as people are finding Minecraft too easy for them, and I think it's the same way with me.
Well, I can't think up anything much more hard than that. Random traps would just be tricky and random silverfish blocks would just be plain evil. This idea is just to bring a very nice challenging dungeon for those who think Minecraft is too easy.
Also, nether fortresses don't make everything look dark when it's perfectly lit up :-) Not only that, they don't allow those terrible giant spiders Jeb is unleashing on us to spawn on the surface you think is "safe," which definitely would not be true anymore. But he could make zombie pigmen fight you when you destroy a block withing 5 blocks or enter a portal, which would make the nether much more of a challenge seeing that Ghasts only have 5 hearts, or 10 health.
Still, remember that this is supposed to be a challenge with very good rewards, and it could be surrounded by bedrock so you can't just poke your head in too if this would make it too easy to get the valuable materials.

Thanks, happy you like my idea ;-)
That aside, we already have super dungeons. They're called Nether Fortresses.
