Since there is no real way to find slimes other than to dig giant holes underground to see if they spawn, I think you should be able to craft an item which you can feed to a tamed wolf and they will sniff around for them. The effect would only last for a minute or two. Maybe they could be crafted with cactus (aren't they slimey on the inside?). I think it would be a cool addition for wolves and make slimes more easy to find so you can use them for sticky pistons.
I agree, but maybe if you have a slimeball and give it to the wolf it will sniff around for the nearest slime chunk. once it finds one it will stand there and scratch at the ground. you would keep the slimeball of course (why would a wolf eat slime? :biggrin.gif:). I think an idea like this could work well for finding other things too, but im not sure what.

I was thinking this too (makes more sense) but if you have a slimeball already you would probably already know where you got it from and where to find slimes.

Fair enough. But I think it would be a more useful feature to people who have never found a slime before.
