Don't get me wrong. I like hunger in Minecraft, it adds a much needed challenge and use for food.
But sometimes it would be convenient to turn it off. For example, if you're conducting a long marathon and you don't want people to have to stop for snacks to regain lost stamina. And you don't want to turn on peaceful mode, either because you can't or because you still want hostile mobs to be around.
So I suggest adding a potion that provides immunity to hunger loss (except from poison) for a temporary period of time. The brewing ingredient could be a costly food item, like a cake or a golden apple, so it's unlikely to be a way of getting free stamina.
Like other potions it could have an initial duration of 3:00 and get boosted to 8:00 with redstone. It could also have level I where it only makes you immune to hunger lost from movement, and a level II achievable with glowstone where breaking blocks, attacking, and taking damage don't drain hunger either.
Interesting.
However, now that food stacks I don't really see it as necessary. If you can get your hands on some melons, they become ridiculously easy to farm. You will have so many that hunger never really becomes an issue. I think that just carrying around a 64 stack of melons negates the need for an "anti-hunger potion"

what if you get chased by tons of mobs and run out of food?
1. if you eat, they get you and kill you.
2. if you don't eat, they will get you and you will also lose health.
3. if you use the potion as splash, you would have sprinted for another 8 minutes as of the splash potion takes effect instantly
Interesting.

Considering the cheap cost of food by the time you can get potions, this isn't designed to be an actual buff but just a tool for specialized situations. Mostly games and challenge maps.
For example, if you want to conduct the Great Minecraft Triathalon, sure racers can bring stacks of watermelon with them. But they'd have to slow down to eat it and it'd interrupt the action.
I don't think this is necessary, if you happen to be running a long distance, simply getting from A to B, then a speed boost potion should save as much time as one of these. I can't think of many situations where you can't take a little break for 2 seconds in order to eat some bread.
While I don't object to this idea, I very much doubt it will be implemented.
