Hey guys! I had a few ideas of things that should be included in Minecraft (no Mods, just plain Minecraft).
Here are my ideas:
Some type of "Arcade" block that could (doesn't have to be, but it would make more sense to) be powered by Redstone. What it would do is let the player play MiniCraft on a screen while Minecraft is still running. It would be like playing Minecraft's version of Minecraft!
Skills. I know this has already been all over the forums, but in my opinion, it should be include now because the mobs are getting AI updates. I think it would make it a little more "fair" if we were allowed to upgrade our character's speed and damage ratings (as an example).
So what do you think? Any ideas to improve upon the ideas? If you do suggest a change to the way you think that the Arcade block should run or more ideas for the block (like different game possibilities and a way to change them[like cartridges]) then I will put your idea up here and give you credit for it as well.
I don't think arcades and cartridges really fit with the Minecraft theme, I would like it as a mod however, but not in vanilla Minecraft. As for the skills, I like this idea, however if they became very powerful it could be too OP making the mobs too easy once again.

There would have to be some limit. You know like in Skyrim, for example, only lets you get skills up to level 100. Minecraft would maybe only have a limit of 10.
No arcade block. That just doesn't fit in Minecraft at all. It's an interesting idea, but it lacks the Minecraft feel. I think that an RPG skills element would be overpowering. You'd start out sucking early on and then be too good once you have diamond armor and sword with enchantments.

EDIT: wow, ninja'd big time.
It does not have to go RPG style. You could continue to start out how you normally do (same speed, strength, and so on) but would allow you to increase one of your stats by like a 10% increase. Then later on, you can run 10% faster or be 10% stronger. That way it stops you from becoming an all powerful god, but still allows you to get better to make it a little bit easier since the AI is getting smarter and Minecraft is about to get a lot harder with new challenges.Actually, the Arcade block idea was inspired by a friend of mine who told me that he had a dream that he was playing minecraft and when he was playing, he went up to a random computer he found and started playing Minecraft on it.
As long as the jukebox remains in game, I'm in favor of the arcade. :smile.gif:
The skills wouldn't work well on non-RP servers, since it would give older users a huge advantage. Otherwise, they would be alright. I would really like to more actual skill types though, like maces/clubs, or two-handed weapons (dual-wielding introduced as well), etc. first, though.

True, these were just some things that my friends and I agreed on that it would be cool if Minecraft had these.
