When you die you get a screen with what you were viewing in red and somewhere in the screen there you see : Score : something.
But, does score matters?
Whenever i die i just want to click that respawn button, the score doesnt means anything to the average steve..
But, what we can do about this? How can we do scores to be a little more interesting?
Online Scores and LADDERS
So, lets explain a little more.
1st. Scores should be uploaded to minecraft website into a ranking of Top players from 1 - X
But, how can we do this a little more... interesting.
We have creative mode, survival mode and hardcore.
But what if we had... LADDER MODE
If you think im talking about minecraft´s ladders then let me explain
Various multiplayer games, mainly strategy ones have " Ladder System " that is basically a ranking that tracks down every player´s score and probably some other statistics depending on what game it is.
Ladder Mode.
Ladder mode will be this :
- Your score will be shown in the screen even if you are alife.
- When you die you have 2 options, to send the score to the ladders and delete the world, or re-start your ladder from 0 score but you keep the world.
-In the minecraft.net it will have different lists, as TOP Countries, TOP players and maybe TOP CLANS.
CLANS
Clans could be made in the minecraft.net website, you can send invitations to different players then all the score made by the members of the clan will be in The Clan Ladder to see what clan is the best one.
CONCLUSION
- Global Rankings, AKA Ladders
- New gamemode " Ladder Mode "
- Abbility to create real clans in minecraft and be in a ranking to choose the best clan.

Use mods to set up a world in wich you score at an insane rate.
Remove your mods and reload the world.
Get a really high score.
Suicide.
???
PROFIT!
Also, your poll is broken. You have to answer all of the questions to cast a vote, and the first question is the only one with an answer that does not imply supporting this idea.

Well, as i said somewhere above there shoul dbe a way to check modifications in the jar.
For example, META-INF basically checks for modifications in the jar, jeb just needs to use that same code and improve it, instead of making the game crash it should make Ladder Mode unaccesible by players with mods.
And then, if someone removes that part of the code, there should be a code ( but this one in minecraft.net and should be sended via internet to every client ) to check if that is removed, so people wouldnt cheat removing that " META-INF ".
And if it is sended from minecraft.net people wouldnt be able to just remove it.
And i will add more negative options for those with other opinions.
every kind feedback is appreciated.

Very interesting...
I guess jeb should have to figure out some way to know if the player is using mods, or even using cheats like InvEdit.
I guess it shouldnt be so hard.
They can just make it so it will check if they are some changes in the code ( which obviusly mods do ).
And if you have mods then it will not let you use ladder mode.
And to know if you used cheats like Invedit they could make a way to know if the player got X item from nowhere.
I dont know java, but there is always a way to do something.
