This suggestion tells how I would like maps to be specified.
Some map properties could be exclusive for the map type.
Exclusive properties:
Flatland:
-Grass height -Specifies how tall the grass should generate at (Max: 100 Min: 2)
-Generate stone (Yes/No)
-Generate caves (Yes/No) (Has to be at least 16 blocks tall)
-Generate Oceans (Yes/No)

Default:
-Mountain stretch (1-100 setting. Default is 50 which will generate mountain height regulary)
-Ocean size (Changes how big oceans oceans generate where the range is 10-100 and default is 50. 10 generates small oceans, 25 generates oceans like pre-1.8 Beta, and 100 generates huge oceans)

Biome percentage: 30% Jungle, 40% Forest, % Pine Forest.
It basically allows you to choose what the percent of a biome occurring in your world is.
Another thing you could possibly add is a number for the sea level, and cloud level. So you can have dry oceans, flooded worlds, and misty mountains.
