There are probably at least a few people who would like to sit back and play minecraft instead of being hunched over a keyboard, but don't see the point in getting a console when they have a computer. It shouldn't be too extremely difficult to add the UI and controls for the 360 to the PC version once its released. Yes, you can use come key-mapping programs, but the menus are made for a mouse and controls are limited to the programs capability. It would much more simple for the game to handle this instead.
EDIT: That's what I've been doing currently, and its much less than satisfying.
You wanted controller support, and you implied that someone would play just with a controller. If you used a controller instead of a mouse and keyboard, you'd need the controls stick to move the cursor.
People really have no common sense on this forum, do they? If you read the previous posts in this thread, then you would my goal is to have native support for controllers. It would be as simple as porting the GUI and settings from the 360 versions to the PC.

I support
No I'm trying to get rid of that. That's what you have to deal with with a key-mapping program.
I've already said this..
