Made with redstone because it is like a spice. you combine sugar and redstone to get peper put it on bread to heal more hearts to get salt you just take sugar and throw it in lava to cook it.
uhh, redstone? easier idea: salt could be get from sand of the beaches or sand underwater. pepper could be get by putting special seeds (pepper seeds) on the crafting slot with glass to contain it. same with salt.
well that's just my suggestion.

if i behave weird in my post; it's not that i am weird actually. I like to pretend being weird just for the satisfaction of me and to make the community feel more normal. herpy herpy derp. btw, comic sans.
Kind of a bad idea, since throwing sugar in lava would burn it. Even if it didn't burn it would still be hard to get out..
Plus, it doesn't make sense to put it on bread (i've never heard of salted bread). Why not use it on meat?

Do you know how EITHER are made irl? No support.
well that's just my suggestion.
You mean salt.
and yes. in real life yes. but it is a game so no. salt would be made like this:
1. melt sugar
2. add gunpowder
It has to at least have slight realism in the least.
MOST of mc's properties are realistic.
Mining blocks.
Buildidng houses.
Fencing off areas.
Breeding.
They all make perfect and logical sense, unlike throwing salt into lava and getting sugar....

That could be better. But bread is more
