Do your guys think it is a good idea?
No. I do not think it's a good idea.
Here's an easy reason why I say so... When you wash a kitchen knife, does it rust before your very eyes?
No. Rust is caused by exposure to water OVER TIME.
Meaning you have to leave the iron object in water for a very long time for the iron to oxidize. Lrn2Chemistry.
Also, this creates an unnecessary penalty for the sake of realism.
you break the iron tools so fats anyway.. so whats the point?
I can see where this is coming from, but since iron tools is used up fairly fast anyways, there is no need to nerf them.

Kitchen knives these days are made out of Stainless steel. They won't rust quickly.
