NEW BLOCK IDEAS.
BOOOM!
1: Haybale: crafted with wheat in every square, could be used for decoration / storage. Could maybe have some string the in the crafting recipe...
2: More Rocks! Brimstone near lava and Quartz while mining for decor! Granite and marble! :biggrin.gif:
3: Redstone blocks! There are blocks of iron, gold, diamond and even lapis, why no redstone? It could glow when you hit it! Might even have some uses in wiring? O: Obviously made from redstone dust 3x3
4: Cement! Could move like lava for about 30 seconds, and then solidify where ever it had flowed? Quick building. This would honestly be amazingly convenient >.>
5: Plastic! It could be like wool, but you get it from some weird crafting recipe I could never imainge! O.o It could be dyed, so esentially it would be like wool, but couldn't be burned (yeah yeah yeah plastic melts in real life but when you set grass on fire in Minecraft it doesnt melt away now does it?)
6: COOKIE BLOCK. O__O. 9 COOKIES. 3X3 SQUARE. COOOOKIES IN A BLOOOCK
7: Coal block. Kind of speaks for its self. (more black then black wool and burns for long periods of time before breaking)
8: Enderpearl Block! This one is interesting, I'm sure everyone like the cool color and look of the enderpearl, its slight translusence, it's beautiful shine... ahem. 3x3 to make a block that looks just like it, mostly for decoration, but I'm sure we could think of some way to make it teleport you somewhere :smile.gif:
9: Feather blocks, made from chicken feathers 3x3, also, another use for feathers to make a block, Pillows. Notice the pillow on the bed... so... boring... and flat. The pillow block made with wool surrounding feathers could be placed on beds to give you a temporary speed boost when you wake up! Better sleepy times! :biggrin.gif: (idea inspired slightly by skyrims "rested" perks)
10: Combinations of different half-blocks! say, a stone slab with a brick slab ontop. You cant't do that, because these combinations dont have block ID's, because they havn't been put in the game.
11: Anvils, made using iron in every space except for the furthest right one. Would be like a crafting table, but only for tools and armor, and would give the items a small buff given when you use extra material. Say you put 10 iron ingots in the extras box. It would give a small buff. Buff, not enchantment. Enchantments and buffs could be stacked. like enchantments, except not enchantments. Would leave a shine on the tool other then the enchanted sort of glimmer.
12: Shelves, like slabs, but smaller. Not pressure pad small, bigger then pads, smaller then slabs. Items could be placed on them (like in that mod, remember?)
13: Stained glass, glass + dyes = tinted glass! Black wool would TINT glass, making it transparent still, but just barely.
14: String block, string 3x3 = string block... Kind of useful... I guess... Its like wool, but more hardcore O:
15: Acid ("Theres already an idea for this" I came up with it a week before that topic went up >.> also acid would be cool, like lava, but it moves as fast as water, and doesnt set things on fire. So TECHNICALLY you cant grief with it.)
16: Mud, found in swamps and slows you down as you walk through it, no matter how deep you are in mud, you can never see in it. Doesnt appear naturally underground. It can be put it in a bucket and would be useful in adventure maps for new challenges!
the 16 ideas of new blocks! Thank you for reading, and tell me which ones you think are fantastic and which are stupid. Thanks :biggrin.gif:
if i behave weird in my post; it's not that i am weird actually. I like to pretend being weird just for the satisfaction of me and to make the community feel more normal. herpy herpy derp. btw, comic sans.
I don't like the 3x3 recipe for redstone blocks, why not 2x2? Glowstone is 2x2, and they're very similar. Redstone blocks would look like red glowstone.
I knew from th ebeginning string blocks wouldnt get good praise :tongue.gif: but redstone blocks being 3x3... well, no one argues that the iron and gold blocks are 3x3. Also technically the only similar thing between glowstone and redstone is that they both break into dust, otherwise, they are EXTREMELY different.
I`d like to hear which ideas people LIKED though, and as far as I can tell most people are focused on telling me that the string block is worthlless, which, I admit, it is. I touwld be for more decor purposes. The haybale was the main idea.

and the hay block should also attract animals.
