Ever since potions have been released, I've wanted more out of them. First of all, I liked all the current potions, and thought it was a neat, OPTIONAL addition to the game. But then I thought on how it could be improved, so here are my ideas:
Suggestions appreciated!
Also, if the potion recipes don't make sense to you, you can post or PM me what you think it should be.

I think that the harvest potion should use a glowing melon, made be crafting together a melon slice and glowstone dust. Also, this is how I think glowstone and redstone should affect each potion. I bolded any changes:
Tier I Positive Potions:
Fluid Potion: The ability to swim at the same speed as walking. It would be brewed from the Awkward Potion, using a Pearl. (Redstone changes the time from 1.5 minutes to 8 minutes, but the speed gets decreased to only 90% of walking. Glowstone does nothing)
SoftFall Potion: The ability to reduce fall damage. Brewed from an Awkward Potion with a feather. (Redstone changes the time from 1.5 minutes to 8 minutes, but reduction goes from 50% to 25%, glowstone changes time from 1.5 minutes to 45 seconds, but changes damage reduction from 50% to 75%)
Berserk Potion: Allows player to one-hit any mob (except dragons) for a very small amount of time. Brewed from an Awkward Potion with a bone. (Redstone increases time from 30 seconds to 2 minutes, but changes damage to 19 (9.5 hearts), glowstone changes time from 30 seconds to 15 seconds, but changes damage to 50 (25 hearts)
Emanation Potion: When drunken, the player poisons everything that touches itself for a set amount of time. The downside is that even thought the potion wears off, they will be damaged by a heart every 3 seconds. Brewed from an Awkward Potion with venom. (Redstone changes time from 1.5 to 8 minutes, but also makes you take 0.5 hearts of damage per second for only the duration, no after effects. Glowstone changes time from 1.5 minutes to 45 seconds, but poisons the mob for twice as long)
Harvest Potion: Doubles all farm-related drops when potion is in affect. Brewed from Awkward Potions with a Life Force Glowing Melon. (Redstone changes time from 45 seconds to 4 minutes, but only has a 50% chance of giving double drops, Glowstone changes time from 45 seconds to 30 seconds, but quadruples drops).
Invisibility Potion: Makes player invisible for a short amount of time. All items held in the player's hand are visible. The name tag is invisible. Brewed from Awkward Potion with Shadow Essence. (Redstone changes time from 45 seconds to 4 minutes, but makes an armor you are wearing visible, along with items in your hand, glowstone changes time from 45 seconds to 30 seconds, but makes anything you hold in your hand visible)
Efficiency Potion (Before you start yelling, "Grant, you can enchant your tools!" Yes, I know, but this makes it easier to access, more or less.):Makes player's tools work faster for a short amount of time. Brewed from an Awkward Potion with a diamond. (Redstone changes the time from 45 seconds to 4 minutes, but changes block breaking speed decrease from 50% to 25% (halves speed increase), Glowstone changes time from 45 seconds to 30 seconds, but changes block breaking speed decrease from 50% to 75% (triple speed increase compared to redstone)
Guard Potion: Decreases amount of damage taken from anything by 20% (Suggestions on time?). Brewed from an Awkward Potion with a gold block. (Again, suggestions on what kind of ore it should be brewed from.) (Redstone changes time from 1.5 minutes to 8 minutes, but damage absorbtion goes down to 10%, Glowstone changes time from 1.5 minutes to 45 seconds, but damage absorbtion goes up to 50%)
Sniper Potion: All shots from the bow and arrow while this potion is active are made straighter. Brewed from Eagle Eye. (Redstone increases time from 45 seconds to 4 minutes, Glowstone has no effect)
Tier 1 Negative Potions
Flame Potion: (credit to Mulan15262): When drunken, the player sets on fire. Brewed from an Awkward Potion with a Blaze Rod. (Redstone and glowstone have no effect).
EDIT: Sorry for all the junk text, the system was messing up on me.

You don't seem to notice that you can only use soft substances with no hard parts, by your logic, adding a diamond to an awkward potion makes a god potion. By real logic, adding a diamond to an awkward potion makes an awkward potion with a diamond that sunk to the botttom. Drinking the potion would kill you, because the diamond chokes you.
Brewing stand tiers = hate
Making up items without telling how to get them(life force) = double hate

Minecraft isn't logical. Look at the gravity. And the ****ing nether. Is that logical? Probably not.
Have you ever thought that I might not be done with the first tier of potions?
How about a potion of total health regeneration, made by brewing a golden apple into a potion of regeneration. It would heal you 1 heart per second until you have max health. The rate is double if you take any damage during that second, but returns to normal after that second. It has no timer. Level 2 would do 2 hearts per second, 2.5 if you take any damage in that second, but returns to normal after that second.
Also, how about a potion of fire, made by brewing a blaze rod into a mundane potion. A splash potion lights any hit players or flammable blocks on fire. If you drink it, you get lit on fire. Redstone and glowstone have no effect.
In addition, higher level brewing stands should all brew in 10 seconds. And feel free to put my ideas in the OP if you give me credit.

Please click the dragons, they need to grow. Also, my fully grown dragons can be found in my bio.

Wow. First, I like the glowing melon idea. But I don't like the quadruple drops, as that, in m y opinion, is OP. And the times with redstone brewed into them is a bit long, but overall, this is a good improvement. I'll take this into consideration.
