Blazes are clearly some kind of metal construct, Therefor I see no reason to not be able to harvest their metals for more than alchemy.
When you craft nine blaze rods together you get a blazenite ingot, Witch is known for its fiery qualities...
THEN, You craft yourself a blazing furnace, By making a square of eight ingots in your crafting table...
Blaze furnaces are prettymuch an endgame upgrade to your current furnace as it cuts smelting time for all things down to three seconds, BUT THE ONLY FUEL IT CAN USE IS BLAZE RODS, MAKING IT EXPENSIVE TO USE... So keep some normal furnaces around if you're not full of blaze rods...
Another thing about blazenite ingots is that they can be used to upgrade gold armor...
Place eight of the ingots around any piece of gold armor and it becomes blazenite armor, Witch gives you 75% fire resistance and complete lava immunity for up to 15 seconds before you need to GET OUT OF IT.
If you stay in lava for longer than fifteen seconds YOUR ARMOR DISINTEGRATES AND YOU BURN.
The defense of blazenite armor is between leather and iron's no make it fair... After all, It's mostly just meant to keep you protected in the nether...
That's the jest of this suggestion, Thoughts?
EDIT: Place nine blazenite ingots in your crafting table to make BLAZENITE BLOCKS, WITCH BURN ANYONE WITHOUT BLAZENITE/OTHER FIRE RESISTING ARMOR THAT STEPS ON IT AND BURNS ANYTHING FLAMMABLE THAT GETS TOO CLOSE.
way to difficult to make to make a furnace i would need more than a full stack of blaze rods? correct me if im wrong, and blazes are bloody difficult to kill anyways
If jeb doesn't like the idea, i bet you could get a modder to do that upp!
Modders seem more interested in super overpowered obsidian armor that does the same damn thing but is super overpowered with infinite laveswimming time and ungodly high armor rating...

Pretty good idea. I like it; I suggest you go over it with a spellcheck.
For the biggest part, I don't think that making a blaze furnace would be a very good idea; but would rather see the traditional furnace upgraded with the new feature.
Instead have blaze rods have a smelting time of 32 items.
