I think it'd be great if endgame content was added to Minecraft, specifically once you beat the dragon. By that point you've explored the Nether, the End, enchanted weapons and armor, crafted potions and mobs are no match for you. I would love to see the world drastically change once you kill the dragon, sort of like Terraria after defeating the Wall of Flesh.
There would be a chance of a blood moon rising (or something similar) which is when zombies can open doors, skeletons fire flaming arrows, spiders attack both during day and night, Endermen spawn aggressive towards the player and can teleport into their homes if they're within a certain number of blocks, even without the player looking at them, etc.
New mobs could be found as well as the old ones being stronger and spawning in greater numbers. New types of ore would randomly generate in the existing world with powerful new properties which would mean that you would need to begin exploring and mining once again, etc.
For the people that want to keep playing Minecraft the way it was before they killed the dragon they could play on Peaceful or Easy, but for the players that want to experience all the new features in difficulty they could play on Medium or Hard. I think that this would be a great way to add a lot of playability to the game once you've already done everything you can and become an unstoppable killing machine.
Ummm, Zombies opening doors would just be an annoyance, as people would simply replace doors with another block like cobble. And how would an enderman be able to know where your home is.

Don't whine, learn to chance your tactics, just because something becomes harder does not mean it is annoying

Endermen would spawn like they normally do, but if they get within a certain number of blocks from your position they will become aggressive even without you looking at them or you having a direct line of sight.
The whole point will to make the game more of a challenge for the people that want it. Sure you could replace your doors with solid blocks, but you could also play on Peaceful or Easy and not have to worry about any of the new difficulties. It would increase the difficulty for people that are looking for the extra challenge and then they'll be forced to create larger and more elaborate homes with traps rather than just a humble box. It would bring the game to a whole new level.
maybe after defeating the enderdragon you can have solar and lunar eclipses, there is a thread on that and it is amazing, but im too lazy to give the link.
