A superflat world currently consists of a perfectly flat world only about 5 blocks of dirt above bedrock. this is a huge burden for those who wish to build big underground things or redstone contraptions that require alot of underground redstone. I think there should be a sort of slider for how many blocks of dirt you want between you and bedrock when you spawn. the slider should go from zero to block limit (120 something...). Also as a further Implementation, you should be able to add trees and rivers, again in a slider, or a button that cycles from none-some-frequent-many.

Thats a good idea that would be cool. Flat is a good place for creative, but there should be rivers to make it look better and trees, and most creative structures have an underground complex.
If you want more space to build underground, with trees and rivers, go find a forest in normal generation and smooth it out some
Do you have ANY IDEA how LONG that takes?
I agree with the OP, although I think a simple text field (rather than a slider) for the number of blocks would be more than sufficient. I would also like to see selectable biomes (including multiple biomes selected by percentage).

The problem with that is some people would try to go over the block limit, and with the slider you can only go up so high

Jeb mentioned a cave world when he added in the world type button. Just use that for big underground stuff if/when it comes out. And why would you want or need trees and rivers messing up your perfectly good terrain? If you pick that world type, why would you want stuff getting in your way?

No. No trees is more challenge for survival and decent space for creative. Same with rivers. Rivers would also get clogged with slimes. This would defeat the whole purpose of superflat.

I think he means does the original poster have proof superflat is flawed...

For example. Perfectly flat grass at top layers. Stone at bottem. Iron ores after that. And so on. Make them all make perfect rows and stuff.
