Some of you may be fimmiliar with Bukkit, a minecraft server client that allows the use of community driven plugins. And those of you who know of Bukkit, some may know of SpoutCraft, A modified MC client that permits the use of game altreing mods (change/add block types, new mobs, etc...) that everyone can see!!!
Unfortunately, though, not everyone is going to want to download yet another client that they may or may-not use anywhere except that specific server. So why not fuse SpoutCraft into the official MC client? This would allow a flood of unique servers to come to the MC world!!!
But say I wanted to add a steampunk mod that adds guns, and other cool things like that to my server. I would not be able to unless ALL of my users were using SpoutCraft to view it, they would see nothing, I have tested this before. So unless there is some weird mod that forces a client change to the users home client that permits the viewing of unique blocks, mobs, items, and effects, then SpoutCraft MUST be used. Wich is why I suggested this.
Must be used? No. Crafting table grid? No. Guns? HELL NO!
Ahahahahha... you act as though I truly want MC to add guns to there main game, Ahahahah.... I think you must learn the meaning of the word "examples" for I used the steampunk mod as an "example" for what I was talking about, just as I could have used other mods as "examples", such as Pokemob, Stain glass mod, and many many more mods that would require the use of SpoutCraft in order to be used on servers. I am mearly suggesting that Minecraft add something like SpoutCraft to there main thing so players of servers with such mods don't need the SpoutCraft in order to get the fullness of the server.
anyone elss want to play there thoughts to this? I still think this would help expand on the community driven aspects of the game and give us more freedom to do what we wish with our servers.

Okay, well sorry, for my idiotic post, but still, spoutcraft should stay spoutcraft, i just dont want to be forced to use it.

sorry in return for the sarcastic reply. The point of this post is to keep users from being forced to use it when they want to go onto a special server (say a pokemon server with Pokemob). instead it will just be there without needing to switch clients
