Notch said that in 1.8, Minecraft would have bosses. Though, this was untrue. 1 boss came in 1.9 and was polished in the final release. To date, Minecraft still has only 1 boss. If this was because Notch only wanted a final boss, this suggestion now has a chance that Jeb has taken lead of Minecraft. May I present to you, bosses.
The Purpose of Bosses
Enchanting is very useful, especially for the final fight. You can enchant items with EXP, which essentially reflects on how many mobs you have defeated. Hold on, what about monsters? Don't they drop more? Nope. Killing a flock of sheep drops more than a Creeper. In other words, there is no challenge in EXP collecting.
Plus, EXP collecting is very tedious. On a server, I transformed a Zombie Dungeon into an EXP farm where you can safely execute the zombies. In an hour, I think I could get Silk Touch on my gold pickaxe. Now, does that sound like fun? No. It's very tedious and boring. Where's the adventure?
I have an idea for three bosses in the over world. Each one drops 1,000 EXP when killed, which is 5% of an Enderdragon's EXP drop. Now, that means you must defeat 20 bosses to equal an Enderdragon defeat. Sounds balanced, doesn't it?
Boss rooms would generate by themselves; no dungeon; and be pretty common. This way you must set out mining just to find the boss, defeat the boss, and repeat. Each one is just as fun as the previous and makes you feel proud once you have done so.
Bosses are also immune to the effects of water, lava, fire, and fall damage, so a player must actually defeat the boss for it's experience.
Meet the Bosses
Now, I'm not suggesting weird mythical creatures with weird names. No herobrine, dragons, or creepers. Just wanted to clear that up.
Cobra
Ah, the Cobra. You see, a boss spawns in the center of it's respective boss room and doesn't leave the boundaries. This way you can leave the boss battle and return later. Back to the Cobra. It has minions; a new mob, the snake.
(Snake model coming soon!)
A snake spawns inside a Snake Nest block and emerges to the surface of the block, all coiled up. It will then slither up the feet of the player and simultaneously bite him. These critters can be quite dangerous. They are hostile, have health each and deal damage every two seconds. When you have a swarm of snakes at your feet, fighting the Cobra is quite tough.
A snake drops 0-2 fangs upon death. These can be crafted with an empty bottle to make Venom.
Venom can be drunken, but it will poison you. Though, it can be enchanted to do the following:
Keen Eye - Can see grey silhouettes of mobs through blocks. Satisfying - Fully heals hunger. Motivation - Will receive no knockback. Thick - Reduces damage from explosions.
The above effects only last while poisoned.
The boss room of the Cobra is called the Snake Pit. The bedding on the bottom of it is made from Snake Nest blocks.
See a bit brighter version:
Now for the Cobra itself! He has x50 health, and will lunge and bite you. If you parry, he will not attack, but slowly slither up to you. This is an easy way to stall the Cobra. His bites do damage each. He can be quite difficult if you try to go all-out on him.
(Cobra model coming soon!)
Spider Queen
Now for the Spider Queen. She is a large, fuzzy, cuddly, menacing spider. She is not just a large spider model, though. She has a big abdomen, long legs, and never leaves the center of her den. She will spawn normal spiders to protect her.
(Spider Queen model coming soon!)
She has x50 health, just like any other boss.
How does she attack, you may ask? Well, other than her children attacking you, she will shoot strands of web at you! It slows you down, as if you were in a cobweb. The effect lasts 5 seconds. Though, the Spider Queen cannot damage you unless you are up next to her. She will then bite you, which does damage and has a large knockback, usually knocking you into her den's cobwebs.
Beware of the Spider Queen, because of her den! It is quite hard to navigate through, and looks something like this.
Giga Slime

I am meowing at my lung’s fullest. I would even argue that the echo that reverberates back to me is the voice of someone I know…
they won't be that big to the minecraft community because once the aether mod comes out there is bosses in them but if you want be be big create ANOTHER realmi could do the terrain if you want to make another realm

Every boss suggestion with new realms has been turned down. Plus, the aether has been confirmed to never be added to Minecraft. Ever. And that's a mod, so it cannot turn down a suggestion.
I can texture if you make this a mod. Then just tell Jeb to add it in.
I'm already half-way done with the Cobra's texture and model. I also have the texture for the Snake Nest block, which is seen in the screenshot I attached.

I will once I polish the other two bosses and post them in.

Dude, I'm making my own textures for this suggestion, and there will be NO new dimensions, and this is not a mod.
This is the block on the bottom of the Snake Pit.
Sorry it's hard to see.
.
..It's not. It's a Snake Nest block.
Thanks! :smile.gif:
