I feel space should be added. I would like to see minecraft moving away from so much magic and more towards technology, as in, crafting a rocket and spacesuit, and making a launch pad. Not guns and stuff.
I also understand several mods have tried to make space and none of them never finished.
Anyway, to be to the point, do you think jeb should work on space instead of more overly complicated biomes? I feel he should, it would add a grander sense of exploration, unlike how it is now, where you go to some place full of lava and some place that is just some rocks and an annoying dragon. I'd much rather land on mars and explore martian ruins.
What you're proposing is that Minecraft completely changes it's genre from fantasy to sci-fi. This won't happen. Notch, Jeb, and now Jon have been spending the better part of two years creating a fantasy-themed sandbox survival game, and there is no way they will halt in their tracks and take it down another path. It's like wanting Dead Space to include dragons and unicorns; it just won't happen.

Minecraft doesn't have a genre. It is a sandbox game, therefore it should have equal possibilities for all genres, be it horror, sci-fi, fantasy or adventure. It is not strictly a fantasy game. If I wanted to play a fantasy game I wouldn't be playing a game about blocks that is made with java. I'd play skyrim.

Uh, that's a pretty bad logical progression. Sandbox doesn't mean it needs to offer equal representation of different genres, sandbox only means that there's no defined goals, other than to build for the sake of building.
There's no real reason that it has to include sci-fi any more than it should include AK-47's.

Meh.
I guess it's just because I'm starting to really hate this game. Notch never added anything good, and jeb isn't really either.
I guess I'll just stick with building Dante's Inferno.
