OT: Jeb should fix Notchs messy programming, and make the world height 200, not 128

Messy how? All I see is smart coding; instead of needing a computer thrice the size of an Xbox to run Minecraft, I just need a normal computer. One that isn't cooled by LN2 too, isn't that awesome?
Trust me, bigger isn't always better. Especially in computer programs.

All indie games have messy programming. Notch admitted himself on his blog somewhere that he is a cavalier programmer. The code is messy and inefficient. Same thing used to happen at Facebook when Zuckerberg did most of the coding. Jeb made minor efficiency improvements to the code and mentioned raising the world height.

Minor efficiency improvements will not account for the lag experienced on most computers, it will still be a long way to go.
In Minecraft, bigger is always better. No. Most false statement. Ever.
In computer games; almost all computer games, you want things like height to have some kind of minimum/maximum. Check Roblox with their infinite height (thank god it's only infinite in one direction), see how laggy it gets the higher you get up? And every time Powder Toy ever got a screen enlargement, more lag was added. And for Minecraft, bigger height is going to be so much better? How about when you can barely climb the ladder to the top due to the lag?
Bigger is not always better. That's why that tiny blocks mod became so popular.

I really don't think increasing the world height by 72 blocks would substantially increase lag. Just look at the vertical chunks mod, you can go 10,000 blocks high and the game doesn't lag at all.
Proven by a mob that simply increases the height: increasing the height limit to 256 has almost no effect on modern computers.
So why not do it then?
Or rather, why not give the option to players?
My crappy laptop can handle it so why can't I choose it then? Just because there are people with even crappier computers?
Basically that's what I was trying to explain above. Doubling the height limit would work fine with almost any new computer. (Excluding that $300 notebook you own)
Well, if it doesnt cause lag, put it 100 blocks deeper and make a new kind of stone layer to start from the old bedrock level. You would need a diamond pickaxe to mine it.
Maybe a new ore considering with 256 depth you would double the depth. But i dont think new stone that requires diamond to mine would be very productive.
I think it should be a bit deeper. About 20 blocks or so. But there should be something at the menu of creating a minecraft world were you can customize the depth.
