I searched the forums for a post and I haven't found any Topic with this suggestion
Note: Because I didn't think to much on my idea, I'm going to try make this as fast and descriptive as possible.
When a Creeper blows up, Dirt turns to dirt blocks which are then dropped for the player to, possibly, reconstruct what was destroyed. But one thing I noticed, is that they don't drop ALL the destroyed blocks, now I'm OK with this concept, now what bothers me, is that then we need to search for Dirt in our mines if we want to fill the hole(s).
So I thought of implementing new ways of acquiring Dirt. OK I'll try making it understandable.
1st way:

[ ] or [x]
[ ] or [ ] or [x]
[ ] or [ ] or [ ]
[x] or [x] or [x]
[x]= Dirt; [ ] = Empty Block
On the empty blocks between two dirt blocks at the maximum distance of 3 blocks, either it regenerates after a while, or you use bonemeal on the block above to create dirt. But I think most people will prefer the 1st one, even though it's a little too easy to get dirt like that.
2nd way:
Be able to create a potion which if it's thrown (like a snowball or an egg) onto the ground, creates an area of dirt
ex:
[ ][ ][ ][ ][ ]
[ ][ ][ ][ ][ ]
[ ][ ][P][ ][ ]
[ ][ ][ ][ ][ ]
[ ][ ][ ][ ][ ]
[P]= Block where the potion is thrown. [ ] = Empty Block Area that would become Dirt
I hope this idea gets implemented. It may be complicated coding for such a small implementation, but I hope some people find it useful and that either Jens, Daniel, Jakob, Tobias or Notch have no problem in its coding. And to you, yeah you, thanks for reading :biggrin.gif:
