I think mojang is focusing more on visuals than sounds, although I agree whole heartidly do not get me wrong, sound is one of the BIGGEST immersion points and has such a great effect on gaming that people would not even notice until you took the sounds away, and then everything feels as fake as implants.

Sounds like a minor problem, and one that could easily be fixed by modders when the api comes out. I see no reason for mojang to invest any time in it.
what a drama queen.....focussing on such minor issues seems a waste of everyones time.
Minor issues can stack up, and I'm only a bit upset over this because you can't mod pain noises for animals without them sounding like they're bleeding or being crushed or having their bones broken WHILE WALKING AROUND DOING NOTHING. :mellow.gif: :blink.gif:

I think the crunch sound is just a place holder, it was changed because all the girls wanted a girl grunt sound instead of male, so they made it neutral for now.
OF COURSE! Screw all those massive freaking bugs like no cave generation! We need entirely new freaking sounds to serve for a minority! Who cares if the current sounds work just as well? Who cares if people will ***** about it because of their nostalgia? These aesthetic sounds are a pressing issue that need to be fixed NOW!!!!!!

This needs to be fixed. Its not much of a problem to people who don't change their sounds, but to people who do, its a massive one.
Also, why are the hurtflesh sound effects not used for pain sounds for MOBs? And shouldn't we still be grunting when we're hurt? :sad.gif:
