Why am I posting this, because I feel like it.
But anyways, the failing idea would be a block that changes gravity within its radius. Why is this a bad idea, because of one reason. If you supposably placed this block next to the upcoming finite water, it would let it float thus making water catapults possible. Then we would have a new generation of griefers, water catapult griefers! *Shudders*
Even though this is a fail, I don't even see what the idea is.
The idea I was originally refering to is a block you would place and gravity around it would be lessened or made more heavy, its effected area would be like this:
XXXXX
XXOXX
XXXXX
O = The block (Orly?)
X = Area effected (Once again, orly.)
Also this block could be directed in certain direction to make a gravity lift possible. Now since I just rethought it without letting water or sand being affected with this block, this would be a fantastic idea!
If only I could rename the thread to Good idea with one flaw if added.
