Okay, so time for a lengthy post about a new generated structure that is about as rare as a mushroom biome.
It is called an infected village. It is basically an NPC village that is overun by Zombies. Zombies are the only mob in these towns but... there are diifferent types!
There is 1 Infected Village for every 10 NPC Villages.
Considering buildings, the houses in an infected vilage are run down, partly destroyed, and moss overgrows parts of them. A few of them contain spawners of the new types of zombies. A new addition to the buiildings is abandoned chests. These chests contain bread and other foods, diamonds and minerals, and essential tools like picks, hoes, ect. This gives the feeling that the once humans attempted to gather supplies to survive the infection. A way to tell if you are close to an infected village is when the grass gets unnaturally dark and the new types of zombies appear. You cannot till grass with a hoe, as it will grow back in 10 seconds. Back to structures in a village, you can (But extremely rarely) find escape holes in the houses leading underground. If you go down one, it will lead to a little covey which rarely contain a live NPC or zombie. Though extremely rare, holes can lead to natural caves or underground structures.
Now that you know about how the villages are made, here are the types of zombies that roam the village.
1. Normal Zombie, groans, attacks by touching you, but instead wears torn NPC clothing, drops rotten flesh. Common
2. Buff Zombie, Same as regular zombie, only taller and fatter, and deals more damage. Doesn't wear clothes, dark green. Speed is a disadvantage of their strength. Drops roten flesh and muscle (Use on that later). Common
3. Skeleton Zombie, faster than a regular zombie, and can throw blocks like sand and gravel. Attacks like normal zombie, strafes like skeleton when attacking with blocks, drops bones and rotteen flesh. Uncommon
4. Half zombie, still is part NPC, and has 50% chance of being passive or hostile, drops rotten flesh. Uncommon
5. Pigman, INSANELY Rare, drops raw porkchop
6. Severe Zombie, Tough to defeat, Buffer and faster than buff zombie, and can grab you and pull you toward him, dealing 7 hearts of damage. Drops rotten flesh and 2 diamonds. Moderately rare
Now, zombie types 2, 3, and 6 come from spawners. During the day they hide in the houses in dark areas, and at night, they roam the village. If you manage to destroy the spawners, normal, half zombies, and pigmen will still naturally spawn.
