So I think that Minecraft should have time and seasons implemented!
Ex: Fall has rain and such.
I think this would really expand the realism in this game, which could make many more people adore it. Time is a big concept as is seasons in Minecraft, yet they should be added! It would require recording times to go hunting (more on that later) safely according to how much daylight is in a day!
Seasons
=============================================================
Seasons are divisions of a year according to weather,daylight, etc.
This could improve Minecraft by making some days more risky while others are a safe-to-go-out kind of day, with plenty of sunlight.
In a normal Minecraft day there is about 17 minutes until the crack of dawn, starting a fresh new day.
The day section of a day is approximately 10 minutes-
Whilst the night cycle is 7 minutes.
During seasons this could change, along with weather, and temperature (if added).
Winter:
The day section is approximately 4 minutes whilst the night is 13.

Weather:
The weather during winter is mostly snow and little chance of rain (in all biomes) and clouds rummage the sky day throughout the days.
Days: Approximately 25 days in winter.
============================================================ Spring:
Spring is the rainy - yet sunny time of year.
The day in Spring is 8 minutes and the night, is 9.
This is a more balanced day cycle than the winter.
Weather:
The weather in Spring is mostly sunny with current showers.
Days: There are 15 days in spring.
==================================================================== Summer:
Days are about 13 minutes, nights are 4.
Weather:
Always sunny, except for nights.
Days: There are 45 days in summer, as it is the favored season.
=============================================================================== Fall:
Days are 7 minutes, nights are 10.
Weather:
The weather in Fall is mostly cloudy, with little to no rain and the occasional sun.
Days: There will be 21 days in Fall.

Calenders:
The time keeping treasure for all Minecrafters. While these can only be placed on walls, they are 2x2 space takers.
When right-clicked on they open slots for all seasons, and allow you to mark activities you're doing on that day.
They also cross out every day for a year until you need a new calender.

Clocks!:
Clocks are now better than ever! They record the whole 20 minutes of a day, like a real life clock would.
Starting at 0 and going to 20 to mark minutes in a day.
Knowing your current season could really help to make sure you get home safely :wink.gif:
Clocks should also be wall-mountable so that it adds a nice, yet useful look to your home. -thank blaze1997 for the idea!

Welp, those are my ideas for seasons, calenders, and updated clocks!
Please let me know in the comments if you like this idea, as it took quite a while for me to think.
sounds like an awesome idea! Jeb should also make it so that clocks can be placed on walls to show the time without havin to carry them around everywhere :biggrin.gif:
The winter season concept would be easily confused to snow biomes.
Would it? I mean, making a calender would easily clear that up :biggrin.gif:
Anyway: I believe in snow biomes (I have rarely seen them) that the sun is out some of the time, and that it never rains. Again - I have no clue, but you could just as easily make a calender to see :biggrin.gif:
I think fall should have no rain, people tend to hate the rain so 2 seasons with rain and 2 seasons without rain would be best.
Also add some bonuses, like in spring and summer you have a chance to harvest bonus wheat, while in the winter you cant grow things outside and would have to make a green house to keep the snow from freezing your water.
Along with seasons, maybe some seasonal objectives you can only do during that season, or items you can only use/harvest during that season.
Like during winter you can harvest magic ice to make ice arrows which have more damage (or freeze enemies for a few seconds)
The one problem I see with winter is that all that snow has to melt... which would cause a fair amount of lag considering how much of it there would be

Really like those ideas :smile.gif: I was just getting at a basic outline of seasons x)
