I think experience orbs should not give you score. The amount of experience orbs varies even if you kill just one mob. Pigs drop 1 - 3 exp orbs, but should give you 10 points or something.
I would much rather get 200 points from killing a creeper than 5. This would make killing mobs more rewarding.
Like how the scoring system used to be? It would encourage people to stop justr farming animals for the same EXP and score as mobs.
Also, nice sig. I suppose you could do it by utilizing a creeper's block destruction potential... Don't get your profile pic though. Can't see anything besides the hotbar
If Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter were all destroyed, 90% of teens would go insane. If you're one of the 10% that would be laughing at them, copy this into your signature and hope it happens.
I don't really find points that do nothing all that appealing, but it would be great if the xp system were more balanced. It would be great if dangerous mobs were actually more rewarding to kill, something like this here.
Passive 2 "the ones that are currently worth 0 xp would still be worth 0 xp"
Let's put this into a seperate context for understanding.
I make an RPG making RM2K3 where I have a system where a player ends the game with triple-digit health (cap 999).
Another person makes a "better" game using RM2K3 with 9999 HP.
His game is better because the player has more health right?!
In my game, enemies deal between 30~60(45 average) damage against a player with a 400HP pool.
In his, enemies deal between 300~600(450 average) damage against a player with a 4000HP pool.
Given that everything else is equal, are the numbers really that different? In either game, the player dies in 8~9 hits so nothing is different.
If you gain a level in 7 exp orbs now, what is the difference between needing 700 and each orb gives 100... It's all the same. You're just changing scale.
I agree, fix the damn point system its not that hard since you already had a pretty good one and it'll be an easy fix, you could make it so when you get higher levels then lower level creatures would give less experience, forcing you to go on to harder creatures, keeping noobs from being able to look cool by farming easy creatures, let the pro's be known :tongue.gif:

Note that I don't want to take out EXP.

As it is, I see no good reason to sign this.
