I've really gotten into brewing lately, but the only potions I can make are negative ones. Pretty much ALL the good potions require nether warts to make, it's ridiculous in my opinion. The only reason I can't get Nether Warts is because I didn't want generated structures in my game. No nether fortress, no warts.
Also, I think that Blazes should spawn rarely outside nether fortresses without a spawner. Rather, they spawn inside the walls of Netherrack, inside a 5 by 5 "egg" of soul sand. This would be hard coded into world generation, so it's not really a generated structure.
nether wart i agree with but maybe blazes would spawn like ghasts but a bit less common. i think that batches of soul sand should have a 1 in 4 chance of having nether wart growing in it.
Yes, I agree 100%. I also think melons should spawn like pumpkins too since you can only get them from abandoned mineshafts.
Blazes I think should spawn in special chunks like slimes do and very rarely so they aren't seen much outside of their spawners. I like to think of them as dungeon keepers in a way so maybe they could act as "nether guardians". :smile.gif:
Yeah, Nether Warts should have a rare chance of spawning on soul sand, about the same chance as pumpkins spawning on grass. And Blazes, they should have the same spawn rate as Magma Cubes. There should also be Magma Cube spawners in fortresses.
one question. no nether fortress = no blaze spawner = how did you get the blaze rod? TMI? NEI?
yup. i fully agree. warts should spawn in soul sand occationally and it is hard enough to find soul sand itself, let alone a fortress. also, things like blazes should spawn in fortresses AND rarely near lava lake borders. finnaly, things like mellons should spawn like pumpkins. we should ask jeb to put them into the 1.3 update. along with hand gliders and rope and rope arrows.
