i got this idea: how about throwing slimeballs? it's simple; when the slime ball hits an entity (mobs, for example) the entity will be covered in slime and will be slowed down at the average speed of sneaking. this also could be useful in SMP to prevent griefers since it would slow them down. also for players it would cover the screen with slime so the player can't see well. this also affects other mobs (passive mobs can't move well, squids lose total control of their movements, skeletons shooting aim is decreased, same with ghasts, etc.). similar to eggs, snowballs, and ender pearls, if they hit a wolf, they will go angry, but at least one will be covered in slime.
the effects are temporal.
so what do you think? is it a good idea, or a bad idea?
if i behave weird in my post; it's not that i am weird actually. I like to pretend being weird just for the satisfaction of me and to make the community feel more normal. herpy herpy derp. btw, comic sans.
I really like this idea, i thought of the same thing yesturday but i didnt go in depth, good work i hope Möjang adds this in a snapshot :biggrin.gif: there could be a 'splat' sound of some sort and maybe a different throwing animation? And yes i like the idea that on multiplayer it covers your screen in green goop :biggrin.gif:
