It could be made from some sort of string/wool/leather combination.
All it would have to do is basically make the inventory mimic a chest, and give an extra row or two (maybe three?:iapprove:) of space.
I don't know, anyone else have any input on this?
Anyone?
Problem is, even if there were a multiplayer version of a backpack mod, I imagine it would require the person running the server to also have it installed for it to actually work.
I like the idea of a backback since it really fits with the minecraft theme of building what you need.
But personally I think the backback effect should be the current inventory. Adding even more inventoryspace than we have today seems a bit overpowered.
How about if a "naked" Steve had just half the current hotbar spots (rounded off to 5 slots)?
Then you need to build a utility belt to get the full 9 slot hotbar. And you would need to craft a backpack to get the inventory screen.
This would add an extra challenge since a new player would need to juggle the inventory with only 5 slots to store stuff in. This would also emphasis the need of building a shelter with a chest in the beginning.
A chest is pretty easy and cheap to build, but until you can get enough leather/wool or whatever the backback will be made of you need to deal with a stationary container to keep your stuff in.
It's funny how everybody says "There's a mod for it." Nobody read the rules, have they? Anyway, I think i have a crafting recipe.
Sorry i'm using my phone. I cant really click on emotions and scroll down, ya know.
String, empty, string.
Wool, diamond, wool.
Empty, wool, empty.
The diamond is to not let newly spawned survivers to craft them. Something like the jukebox.

We have mods. Just use them.
