There's loads of options, but I think Fraps is the best. It's about $30, and you can probably split with a few people and share the program. Hypercam works, and even Microsoft Expression Encoder (free for recordings under 10 minutes).
An ingame recorder would be better than those 3rd party things. For one, it would be meant for Minecraft. You could do all kinds of things like switch between 3rd person views and 1st person AFTER you have already recorded! It would record the actual game, not the pixels on your screen in that area. You could record in higher resolutions this way.
Plus, you wouldn't have to pay or use a free trial of something.

Umm... You are telling me you do not have 20,-€ bucks for FRAPS? And even if not, you can download a testing version in less than 5 minutes. I don't get your point.
