Two things I get annoyed with: saddles that are completely useless (pigs still move aimlessly), and hunger penalties for sprinting. So for these issues, I propose a new passive mob. Horses! Horses spawn randomly in well lit forests. You can feed them sugar to tame them. doing so will cause them to follow you while in sight range, so you can lure them to stables. You cant ride them until you get a saddle (I know its kinda weird, but you probably dont need saddles for pigs in real life either). You can ride your horse around without a hunger penalty. Next mob. These wood be reapers. These are cloaked, hostile mobs with scythes who fly around without making a sound, they spawn on rare occasions at night (night only, not the dark), they have the same sight range as endermen. Being ghosts, they cannot be hurt by weapons. In hard mode, maybe they can pass through one layer of blocks? except bedrock. To hurt them with weapons you need an enchantment like "supernatural slayer" or something. Also, it will add sage to the game. You can use bone meal on grassy areas to make it spawn and it also spawns naturally on occasion. You can farm sage too, but if you use it for torches, you get sage torches. Same light as charcoal or coal, but reapers cannot enter its light and to tell the difference between them and normal torches, they might have white flames. Just a suggestion. I like the idea of horses. It's already in Mo' Creatures, but having it in vanilla would be even better. The enchantment needed for reapers is sorta unfair, though. Maybe just make the reaper do a high amount of damage?
I like the horse idea,its been suggested before but I still support it,the reaper idea however,needs a bit more insight,it is too overpowered,if it cannot be hurt by normal weapons,how will we get away from it in our first few nights ?

Why would you be outside your first few nights? I don't suggest going outside w/o a bow, and Leather Armor. At least an Iron Sword aswell.
Horses are too overrated (in my opinion), but I really like that idea of a reaper mob. Some of the things I would tweak like the can't get hit w/o normal weps or the bonemeal one, it just doesn't fit. All in all I like the enthusiasm. :biggrin.gif:[/font]

The reaper is interesting, and the idea of needing a specific enchantment to hit them is good. On the other hand, I think it should just be enchanted/gold/diamond weapons, but whatever.
