First suggestion, a monster that lives in the deeper lava pools. It occassionally sticks its head out of the lava and pits a rock at you, then ducks under again. Can be avoided by keeping on your toes, defeated with the bow, or defeated with the sword by more patient players who can wait for them to surface near the edge of the lava, within striking distance. In the nether, they can additionally burrow through nether rack, giving them increased mobility and making the nether all the more challenging. Overall, this adds another level of challenge in the depths beyond the danger of simply clumsying into the lava itself, and takes us a step closer to making the nether actually more dangerous than nighttime in a field (so sad that the nether is so safe now, assuming you don't go looking for trouble).
Second suggestion, raging Yeti. Spawns in mountainous biomes and only attacks if it's hungry. The only way to find out if one is hungry or not is to go close enough to find out. :wink.gif: They're tougher than most mobs, and each time you attack one, there's a change it will "rage", where its speed increases a little (you can still outrun it), and more importantly, it can't be knocked back. After several seconds, the rage wears off as the Yeti runs out of steam. This would be a big change to the overall gameplay, because it would be so far the only type of monster you'd actually run from rather than knock away (even creepers are best pushed back rather than ran away from). Optionally, if other Yetis are nearby when you kill one, those Yetis go into rage mode and chase you.

That would be really cool, pretty creative ideas. But then again the lava maestro wouldn't be helpful because if u poor water over him he suffocated, or if you shoot him with an arrow and he dies, the item is lost, But yes that would be the perfect mob to troll with XD

Yep, I didn't think about how OP water buckets are where lava is concerned. But that wouldn't work in the nether.
And as for the Yeti, it sounds.... Alright, I semiapprove.
But norly, Lava Zora= Regular Zora off of LOZ:OOT

Umm, two points. First, I'm aware of the Zora from the Zelda series. If I weren't, or were trying to sell my idea as a totally original one, why would I use the term "Zora"? Second, the zora first appeared in the original Legend of Zelda, then again in A Link to the Past, before you crawled out of the womb a complete noob and assumed your first encounter in OOT was the dawn of video gaming. Oh, and there's a raging yeti in WoW. Oh, and more fire-spitting fish people in the Castlevania series, which is not a Nintendo property.
977 posts doesn't make you an expert, but so much time spent on a forum does say something. Anyway, stop missing the point and LRN2TROLL. Pwned. :smile.gif:
is this just a scheme to get mojang sued for theft of idea?
Seriously? :smile.gif: It's about having a cool monster that impacts gameplay in a way that's new to Minecraft. Don't call it a zora, then. Or have it spawn little babies that chase you on land instead of shooting fireballs. The point is - introduce a monster you can't walk up to and pwn with the sword like you do everything else, and which appears only around lava to add variety.
Bigfoots would be an interesting and cliched mob to add. I would enjoy seeing one in the game. Other mob is not that needed. Half support.
I'm not sure whether or not you meant "cliche" as a value detractor. Zombies and giant spiders are both huge cliches in gaming. If anything, that makes additional cliche monsters more appropriate to Minecraft. :smile.gif:
