I don't like how you must remove and replace the disc in the jukebox, and think redstone should activate it. If a signal is given, the music in the jukebox will start playing. If the jukebox's power is not cut, then it will loop. You would still play the music by putting the disc in though.
Redstone functionality for Jukeboxes would be great. I'm actually really surprised that it isn't already in the game. Using a Jukebox is just too clunky right now. Being able to cue music when someone enters a room or such would be a cool effect.
From a coding point of view it may not have been added because Jukeboxes act unique. They will cancel the existing song playing but only if sound fx are turned on. I had sound fx off and couldn't play my jukebox at all. It makes me think the code they use is pretty hacky and cuing it with redstone could prove difficult to implement
