New MOBs and ores would make the game alot less bland and boring! I get bored of the game quite quickly, and this needs to change! We shouldn't have to use mods to make it more interesting, because modding is a pain in the ass :sad.gif:
ORE IDEAS:
Copper: A tier between stone and iron. Very common, found at ALL levels where there is stone. You can also use copper to make diving helmets that make your underwater breathing time be infinite (8 copper around 1 glass.) Diving helmets will eventually break after a while, so you will need to recraft more.
Emeralds: This ore gives a gem when mined, and it is found at the same levels as lapis lazuli. You can craft 1 emerald gem into 2 emerald dust, and 1 emerald dust + 1 wild grass = a herb! Herbs can be eaten to restore 3 hearts of health and 1 hunger. Emerald gems can also be sold to testificates, and you can make emerald armour/emerald tools. Emerald armour/tools does as well as iron does, but it lasts for as long as diamond!
Fossils: This ore gives you 1 fossil when mined. Fossils can be sold to testificates, or crafted into 4 bones. I know bones are very easy to get (just kill skeletons) but its funner for peaceful players if you can get fossils from mining rather than killing. It can be found at below 100 levels, it is semi-rare, and. Fossils can be found in gravel, dirt, sand, and stone. They should be never found in clusters, and are only found by themselves.
Sulphur: A dirty-yellow ore that should share the same texture as lapis lazuli, it gives gunpowder when mined, is only found in stone, and can be found at levels below 75. Serves as a way to get gunpowder for peaceful players. :biggrin.gif:
NETHER ORE
Demonite: This ore is grey, requires a diamond pick or better to mine, and only found in the Nether. It is smelted into demonite gems, which are dark red, and demonite tools/armour are stronger and better than diamond. Don't mine demonite with a holite pick or you will destroy the demonite and get nothing. (Holite is explained later on)
MOB IDEAS:
Sharks: They are creatures that are found in ocean biomes. They wander around killing squid, and will move as fast as a zombie, so they are easy to avoid in boats. When killed, they drop teeth. 3 teeth can be used to make bones, and teeth can also be used as a substitute for flint when making arrows. :biggrin.gif:
Goats: These guys only spawn on high mountains, can be sheared, and will run into you and knock you off if you hurt them or shear them. When killed, they drop horns, which can be crafted into horn powder. These ingredients (horns and horn powder) would have uses in potion brewing.
Alligators: They drop scales and teeth when killed, only spawn in swamps, and attack at night. Scales can be used for defense potions.
Penguins: A more efficient source of feathers that lays more eggs than chickens. They will also sometimes drop raw fish when killed. They are neutral, but will attack like zombies if you hurt them. They can be found in places where there is snow and ice close together.
Big fish: This fish is brown, has a model, and looks like an angler fish. There is a small chance (10%) that if you fish and catch something, a big fish will spawn when you pull out. These fish will swim towards you, can move across land, and will bite you. When killed, it will drop teeth and rotten flesh (angler fish shouldn't taste good. :tongue.gif: )
Snakes: These spawn at night, are always up in an S-like form, and they will poison you if they bite you. They drop Venom fangs upon death. Venom fangs can be used to make more powerful poison potions.
Ghosts: These are similiar to the Mo creatures phantoms, except for a few changes. They will fly, they will be more rare, they will be stronger and faster, they come down to attack you when they want to, and they will drop Souls when killed. Souls can be used for a utility MOB purpose later on.
Pigmen: An overworld tribal creature that uses a golden sword, drops gold nuggets, (no pork, just gold) strafes like the skeletons to avoid damage somewhat, spawns in groups, and attacks on sight. They only spawn at night. Small common primitive pigmen villages with pigmen archers (who shoot twice as fast as skeleton archers do) can be found and looted, but they are difficult to raid due to the sheer number of pigmen.
Skeleton warriors: Skeletons with iron swords who move at twice the speed of the zombie. They can be found semi rarely at night, and they drop iron chunks. 9 iron chunks makes 1 iron ingot. They also drop bones. Skeleton fortresses, a rare find, can be found in the surface. In here, there's treasure, and skeleton archers and warriors can be found in these areas. To prevent the imbalanced feature of being able to walk across fields and pick up iron chunks, skeleton warriors will wear iron helmets and iron armour. This will not affect their defense, but it will make them not burn up to death in the sunlight. They will, of course, despawn like all the other MOBs.
BOSS FIGHTS
Giants: Blue cyclops creatures that are neutral, and spawn in very flat areas on the surface. They will grief anything in the way by smashing their fists down with explosive force, and can walk over 5 blocks of height. They drop lots of XP upon death + an Eye of Ender. They have 50 hearts of health.
Dragons: Neutral, red, and spawning in the overworld, they drop a dragon egg upon death as an item and don't explode when killed. If you hurt it, it will fight like the ender dragon, except it will spit fireballs. When you throw down a dragon egg, a blue baby dragon will spawn. If you put a saddle on it, you will be able to ride it. Once it grows up, it will turn green and be able to spit fireballs if you make it do so (right click to do this.) If you do not tame it before it grows up, it will turn into a green dragon.
Skeleton leaders: A lone skeleton leader is always found in skeleton forts, and they summon zombies and attack with a very powerful scythe. Skeleton leaders look like grim reapers and drop lots of XP.
Spider queens: Spider queens can be found in spider nests, which are randomly generated underground very rarely. They are large and will poison you.
UTILITY MOBS
Here is how these MOBs work. You place the 3 blocks on top of eachother, but you right click the head block with a Soul (obtained by killing ghosts) to bring them to life.
Clay golems: 3 blocks of clay on top of eachother should create a clay golem. They are as big as a player, have a face and head and body completely made out of clay, and will attack enemies similiar to how a zombie does. They have high HP, (25 hearts) and do 3 hearts of damage per hit on an enemy.
Fire golems: 3 netherrack on top of eachother would create a fire golem. These guys have a lava texture all over their body and a scary face, and they throw blaze fireballs at enemies. They have 5 hearts of HP, making them very weak.
Suggestions for snow golems:
- You should have to right click the pumpkin head with a soul to bring them to life
- They shouldn't leave a trail of snow wherever they go
- They should use the snow man texture so that they don't have pumpkin heads
- Their snowballs should do half a heart of damage to enemies
- They should have 10 hearts of health
NETHER MOBS
Gloom trees:These grey evil looking trees spawn in the Nether on soul sand and appear lifeless until you go near them. When you go near them, they will spring to life, shriek, and attack. If you kill them, you will get gloom wood, which can be turned into planks.
Nether spiders: These spiders are dark red and will catch you on fire if they hurt you. They drop fire to use to craft chainmail. Snowballs will hurt them, lava and fire will not. They drop string and fire upon death, so you can craft chainmail.
Also, a sky dimension similiar to the Aether should be added. Travelling to the End via a stronghold portal should require an item from the Sky Dimension. To open a stronghold portal that has all of the eye holes filled, you must use a Holite gem in the empty space to open it.
The Sky dimension should use a glowstone portal like the aether, have floating islands and golden foliage, and all the enemies should be encountered only in dungeons.
SKY DIMENSION MOBS:
Afterlivers: These are testificates who fly and have wings. If you hurt one, a lightning strike will hit you. Afterlivers are peaceful and cannot be killed.
Flying pigs: Killed and eaten for pork.
Stone cubes: Cubes with single blue eyes who attack like slimes, but are faster and stronger. They are the main guardians of the sky dimension dungeons.
Chillers: These are blaze-sized tornadoes that will fire freezing projectiles. They are guardians of sky dimension dungeons as well. They are like the opposite of the blazes of the Nether, and they even drop Chill rods. Chill rods can be used for freezing potions. Also, blaze rods and chill rods should be usable in creating fire and ice staves respectably.
Diamond guardians: These guys are found as still statues in pairs beside dungeon room doors. They are very powerful, make loud robot-like roars, and are very powerful. They are as tall as endermen, and wield long swords and large shields. They make sound effects that sound like loud metal boots hitting into stone when they walk, and they are as strong as a player with full diamond equipment is. They are what makes the Sky Dimension a dangerous place. Potions do not affect them because they are made of diamonds, but enchantments will. They drop 0-1 diamond upon death, and, of course, XP.
A good thing to do when fighting diamond guardians is to make minions to aid you. This is where fire golems, (burn baby burn) clay golems, (if you have lots of clay and souls you could overpower him) and perhaps snow golems (as distraction)
SKY DIMENSION ORE:
Holite: This ore requires a diamond pick to mine and is pale bright yellow, and holite crystals are pale bright yellow. Holite tools are better than demonite, and thus are the end game equipment. They are very strong. Don't mine holite with a demonite pick or you will destroy the holite and get nothing.

ORE IDEAS:
Copper: A tier between stone and iron. Very common, found at ALL levels where there is stone, and 8 copper + 1 iron can be used to make Bronze. Bronze is stronger and more durable than iron. You can also use copper to make diving helmets that make your underwater breathing time be infinite (8 copper ingots + 1 glass pane!)
Copper + Tin = Bronze
Copper + Iron = Cunife (used in light bulbs and as magnets)
..and I don't think we should add tin so meh.
I think we should add steel. Iron + some carbon = Steel
4 Iron = Iron chunk + smelt = Steel?
Steel has more uses then diamond but is less 'powerful'.
Emeralds: I don't like the idea of bypassing potions and rendering them useless.
Maybe instead of gold nuggets or bars, we can only use them for villager trading like you said.
Fossils(1-3 bones instead): Instead of skeletons dropping bones, I would prefer fossil mining. Bonemeal is op imo. Would also be nice for trade like you said.
Sulfur: mmmm, not sure. Peaceful players don't deserve gunpowder, they are Quakers.

Awww, okay... I'll remove the idea for bronze then :sad.gif:

The game sort of assumes that iron IS steel (example: the flint and steel item)
Emeralds: I don't like the idea of bypassing potions and rendering them useless.

They're like golden apples: too hard to get, and thus hardly used. I like potions, but healing potions shouldn't require netherwart and golden melons or ghast tears, that sucks.
Fossils(1-3 bones instead): Instead of skeletons dropping bones, I would prefer fossil mining. Bonemeal is op imo. Would also be nice for trade like you said.
Bone meal is pretty overpowered. I think all that needs to be done is 1 bone = 1 bone meal instead of 3.
Sulfur: mmmm, not sure. Peaceful players don't deserve gunpowder, they are Quakers.
TNT is very useful for mining. It does destroy ores, but most of the time it reveals ores as well.

I like the Idea for other gems. Emeralds, Rubies, Sapphires, opal, etc... could be rare as diamonds, and found in gravel. They could be traded to villagers for special potions and items, or even the occasional Pirate ship that rarely shows up. (could trade for cannon, armor and weapon items)
Good ideas. I think we should need obsidian to go to the Nether (obviously), Something in the Nether to get to the sky dimension, and then some extremely rare ore from the sky dimension to turn on the end portals. Also LOVE the idea for more bosses, once you beat the enderdragon, it gets a little boring having no other bosses. And we definitely need more ores and mobs. I dont think peaceful players should get gunpowder AT ALL (Meaning I don't like the sulphur idea). I think it would be cool to get bronze somehow.Dolphin that you could ride(faster than boats and sharks) would be a fun addition. Also, More sky mobs would bee cool. And FINALLY, I think that if you travel far enough in a snow biome, you should find Santa's Workshop!!!
At everyone saying that pigmen should not spawn in the overworld: If you are thinking that I'm saying zombie pigmen should, you are wrong. I mean normal living unscarred ones who are more barbaric, etc (read the desc that I put for them.) If you want a little bit of story/mythology, pigmen are very violent creatures who go to the nether after living a life of war, killing, and bloodshed, while testificates are more peaceful and thus go to the Sky Dimension. :tongue.gif:
I don't agree with the pirates idea, though I would like a fast but weak flintlock weapon to be added to the game.
no bronze
no fossil
no emerald
no moar giants (removed for a reason)
no stone cubes
no afterlivers
...
wat
The reason giants were removed was because they would not be able to move around. This is why they should only spawn on the surface, be able to walk over 5 blocks of height, (because they have much longer legs) and they should be able to smash through anything that really blocks their path. With the help of Jon this should be implementable.
I respect your opinion, although you could explain why you don't want those things in-game...?

Haha, that'd be funny as hell. :biggrin.gif: Snow biomes aren't really that big, though.
