Looking at the regions files in my saves, I was thinking what the three numbers meant at the end of the file name. So I thought, 'Well Minecraft is a three dimensional game, and I know each file is a chunk, so maybe it is the chunk's position. Only the problem was that there wasn't any vertical chunks so that couldn't be it. So then I was making pixel art, a really nice one of the nyan cat for absolutely no reason of course, and then I hit the height limit and was forced to burn my nyan cat. Then I was working on a fun redstone puzzle game I made and again I hit the height limit. So I was thinking someone should make a mod or Mojhang add into the vanilla a script that creates vertical regions, which wouldn't usually have generation in them, but allow players to build higher or dig deeper. Do you agree? Answer the poll above and leave any comments or questions you may have.
Dang, I guess this is a dupelicate thread, so no point doing things here, so wait for it to be deleted.

Google the dinamic height mod. It ets you choose the height limit from 32 to 2042!
this would be nice but it would take forever to make maps and would take like 16 gigs of ram minimum to play
Yes, it would. I am assuming that it would be very devolped and, like I said, wouldn't generate anything. So the lag wouldn't come for a while if it doesn't even create the chunk until the player builds there.

Yes indeed and not everyone has wonder computers. Even then with 16 gigs it would be laggy as.
