I was wondering if anyone can make this, or atleast Mojang should put this into a future Minecraft update to SIMPLIFY changing skins, so you don't have to go to their site and change, what if their site is down, and you want to test out a new skin, THIS would HELP.
Could be a good idea, except for the fact that the reason the skins are located on the website is so that other people on servers can see your skin. If you had some kind of constant updating with the website this could work, but then you wouldn't be able to play offline.
This is basically the way texture packs work now, but texture packs are only seen by the one with the texture pack. For this to work, everyone on the server would have to have a copy of your skins .png file on their computer, and would have to specify that that is how they want to be able to see you.

How is it different from how it is now? It would still automatically show others what you look like anyways.
The thing is, this would require constant updating to the server and minecraft.net back and forth with your computer. While it could be more convenient, it would greatly increase lag on servers, especially on slower computers.
Can you just goto minecraft.net and goto your profile and select the skin in your pictures folder?Cant you just goto minecraft.net and goto your profile and select the skin in your pictures folder?

Its not your personality who makes you who you are, its your DNA.
Yes. They should also fix where you change it through Minecraft.net and when you log into a server... nothing. This has happened since 1.7 for a lot of people. Hope this is fixed, and this should be added
This would make skins actually usable in offline singleplayer, and not have to go with normal Steve(Sorry, bud. You're just not amazingly cool to look at all the time...)

This isn't my signature, I just type this on every single post I make. ~Or1g1n
This would make it easier, true. But it would make other players seeing your skin online quite tricky, as your client would have to constantly be communicating with minecraft.net and that would lag servers. So I'm going to go against this idea, sorry.

What do you mean?
2. You switch to them in game.
Just like a texture pack, you can do this offline.
I like it because it's annoying renaming files all the time.
<--Feels like a complete idiot.
