Every 15 Minecraft Days, the entire world becomes dark red at night, and monsters appear with a higher radius of detection than normal, Nether Mobs (excluding Blazes) appear, Zombies get laether armor, wood swords, spiders become very big, and all Passive mobs (animals) become weak Aggressive mobs.
Well, other than the frequency, and the passive mobs part, it sounds like an okay idea. The passive mobs would be okay if passives spawned the way they used to. But since you get to farm them, no, just... no. Maybe if it was passive mobs in dark areas, it would work, so your farm, which should be lit, won't turn on you. Also, with Nether mobs, ghasts would also need to be excluded, as they are troublesome enough in their natural habitat. We already have enough griefing mobs on the Overworld. The creepers are fine. The Enderman block moving needs to go COMPLETELY, not just partially, or the mob should be kept in the End.
Also, the game needs to make sure that it can't happen until so many nights into the game. It would just suck if your first night happened to be the super-special-dangerous night. After all, while you did suggest a set frequency, it's too much and it would be better if there was at least some randomness to it. Maybe every 15 days it picks a random number and if the random number is equal to a certain number, it will be a blood moon night.
For suggestions, I always suggest attempting constructive criticism if the idea is okay, but just not in the way they suggested it.
The idea of a vicious horde assaulting my home on a rare occasion does excite me. However you cannot directly take the name 'Blood moon' from Terraria and apply it to Minecraft. It would be similar albeit some large differences.
