Has anyone tried to create a stationary decoy the monster go after instead of going after you? i think it would be a good idea and fun. just a suggestion though.

Same as above and it would be op to have that unless it requires a lot of recourses like 2 leather and a piece of meat for one that lasts 5 seconds

Well, i think it should be a scare crow jack-o-lantern to scare pumpkin to attract

I don't see a problem with this.
My only thought is that it seems a bit OP.
Put it on a platform so that all the mobs get stuck in a giant mob trap... It should either require a ton of valueable resources
or it should break apart after so many mobs detach themselves from attracting to it, for all the mobs will either be kill by you, the sun, or the mob trap your setting up, so that they will therefore detach, unless your attracting over 200 hostile mobs in a dark room so they wont spawn anymore. But that is your choice I suppose.

Two snow blocks and a pumpkin are a lot of resources? It's already relatively easy to set up a system you're talking about with one of those crazy snow golems held in place with fences or something, and it'll go ahead and provoke mobs to their death indefinitely.
