A few suggestions
-More interesting mushroom islands. The current ones are bleak and I dont see much of a point of searching for one.
~prettier looking, they look kinda ugly to me.
~More special mobs. Pigs with BROWN mushrooms on there back or something.
~More rare blocks, only found on mushroom islands like Etherium ore, drops 1-3 etherium dust which is mixed into a potion of swiftness to create "potion of levitation" which makes it so that rather than jumping, the player who drank it flys up 2 squares and gently floats down. Maybe more ores on it to make better tools, mylceliur trees that look like trees but covered in spores that are used to make shroom sticks, which are nessacery to make things like shroomstone tools (shroomstone being like the mushroom version of stone) They are 1.5 times more efficient then stone tools. Other versions are the classic ores but "shroomified."
-Bedrock is mineable! It requires a diamond pick and takes 1:30 to break through. Also, rather than falling into the void, the screen will change to "entering the nether" and there will be a nether portal standing there.
-Scarier depths
~Not like the scary depths from the Alpha halloween update.
~You will find Other monsters that spawn only at very low levels of the map.
-The ancient ruins
~A very rare thing to find on the map would be the "Ancient Ruins" These would appear on the surface, but the important part is found DEEP underground of the ruins.
~The way surface ruins look would change from biome to biome Ex. The desert would be a few pyramids, Swamp would be a mossy cobblestone city, etc.
~There are signs around the ruins giving hints to where something is.
~This thing is the dungeon. Not like normal boring old dungeons, this would be different. It is more like a maze of tunnels. Ocassionally there would be treasure chests with Much more important items then the dungeons of today. Items like diamond tools that are slightly used, coal, Saddles,other items that are found nowhere else like magic wands. Potions would be found, bu this place is dangerous. There are things like TNT mines, monster spawners, and arrow dispensers. The most important part of the dengeon is the boss chamber. There would be one of three bosses. Giants (changes in code for them is nessacary to make them more worthy enemies, cause at the moment they're quite clumsy.)
~Another boss would be the zombie dragon. It starts as an egg a little bit smaller then the endragons. The egg is redish white but tinted with blackish green slime. The room is empty except the iron block pedestal the egg sits on. When the player hits the egg there is an animation where the egg cracks open. A dragon that looks like a small red dragon with black green slime on it and a skeletal face spawns. It attacks by shooting fireballs like a ghasts, but a little more firey and less explosive. Bassically there is an exploding sound and explosion damage is dealt, but no blocks are destroyed and fire explodes all over a 3x3 area. This fire is not like normal fire, it is green tinted and while normal fire deals 1/2 heart damage a second, this one does 1 full heart every second. It lingers the same amount of time. This is extremely hard to defeat without fire resistance potions. It has 25 Hearts of health and doesn't fly. It launches fire very rapidly.
~The third and most dangerous boss would be the Giant creeper. This boss would be a creeper that is 3 time taller and 2 times wider than a normal creeper. It doesn't explode, but rather spawns normal creepers all around it. It has 100 hearts. The only way to harm it is

B. Luring the creepers that it spawns to explode on it
Maybe rather than being a mob itself, the giantcreeper would be something that is like a build of a creeper that is quite large. Their is a block inside. The blocks are extremely hard to break but are HIGHLY succesptable to explosions, about that of dirt. There is a block inside that is 100% invicable to be broken by fist, but can be broken by explosion. once the core block is destroyed creepers stop spawning.
Once any boss is defeated, there will be a chest that will appear. These will contain Rare or exclusively available by this chest like magical Staffs and new ores like Neptunite ore and Pheonixian ore. It will also contain unbrewable potions like potions of blindness and potion of light. Enchanted tools and armor will be found with high level enchantments that are normally unavailible like Sharpness V or Freezing aspect II. I like this idea because it allows a way for some non natural items to be added to the game.
~More underground mobs.
-Yes, I did mention these earlier in Scarier depthes. I think they beg repeating in a section of there own.
-Not just more underground mobs. More mobs above ground, in the nether, coming out of nether portals MORE OFTEN!!!!!
-One mob I think would be cool would be something like a werewolf. These would be similar to the ones in Mo' Creatures.
-Werewolves can only take damage from

@A gold arrow (crafted like normal arrow but with a gold nugget rather than flint) fired from a gold bow (crafted like bow but with gold ingots were the sticks would be.) Apart from being useful against werewolves, the gold arrows would deal 1/2 heart more damage and the gold bow would fire slightly further.
-More mobs should be found underground. First of all, the normal mobs would be more dangerous versions of the ones above ground.
-Also giant scorpions would be found. They are pretty much spiders that cant climb walls and are slightly more dangerous in battle than spiders. They would poisin as well!
I would like this idea because I think it would make people think twice before dgging into a cave. Also nether portals would have to be more secured than normal, they cant just be built in a house, they would have to be built in an isolated caverns that would have security measures like lava dumpers and arrow shooters in it to kill monsters that come out. Something that I think nether mobs should be afraid of is water, like endermen, water and rain would damage them, but unlike those annoying endermen that TP whenever they get hurt, these would acutally die! '

I'm sorry, but i don't really like the bosses, perhaps except the giant. However, i do like your idea of dungeons adapted to the biome in wich they spawn, although i think it has been suggested before.

3. Also, very cool to have rare blocks, but your potion idea is a no, this is very abuseable
4. No, some admins on servers use bedrock to protect there stuff.
5. Also no, It will make it even eaiser to get to the nether, and its already very easy, and some servers remove portals to prevent nether, this would make them enter it, and if they dont they will just fall for the rest of there lifes, if the server has no teleport commands.
6. We should have this, you should be able to take a risk to get diamonds
Some pretty good ideas in there. But, the bedrock thing I don't like, bedrock is the only unbreakable block in minecraft and it should stay like that. The rest a like, well done.
