Hello there, I have noticed now after a while of playing Minecraft, that that exploration is limited to caves or a new biome that you found. While there are NPC villages, strongholds dungeons, etc., Minecraft should have larger and more diverse generated structures. Below are a few of my ideas.
1. Abandoned City- The Abandoned cities are rather large areas with streets, big buildings, apartments, shops, etc. that has a destroyed feel to it. The buildings are on fire, half destroyed and have monster spawners scattered around. Imagine a larger NPC village but filled with monsters instead of the Squidwards. The chests are placed and have loot according to the location. Example- a chest in a apartment might have some food, armor or tools, while a chest in a library might have inc, books and paper.
2. Intact Cities- These cities are not destroyed or abandoned and are about the same sizes as Abandoned Cities. They are populated with the NPCs (and if NPCs ever do act more like the Milenaire NPCs, they will be smarted and more advanced than the village NPCs) who will trade with you, let you rent out a tavern room, maybe even let you hire them and they will act like a much smarter dog.
3. Extended Dungeons- These dungeons are more dangerous than a regular dungeon because they have multiple rooms and have more dangerous monsters like Blazes, huge slimes, skeletons, cave spiders and armored zombies (armored zombies have a full condition iron chestplate and leather hat when they spawn). The chests will have better loot and the area around an extended dungeon will have a higher chance to have ores like iron, gold and diamond.
4. Watchtowers and Wizard towers- Watch towers spawn randomly around the world, but have a higher chance to spawn around cities. They would be a tall cobblestone tower with a chest at the top with arrows and maybe a bow. Wizard towers are much bigger and more extravagant, but are very rare. The tower has chests filled with rare materials and potions. Brewing stands, cauldrons and even an enchanting table or two are located at the top protected by the wizard who attacks with potions and a special bow that has a random enchantment on it.
5. Castles- Castles are like smaller, above ground strongholds, but, have more monsters and more loot as a result. They would be constructed mostly of cobblestone and wood with large towers on each corner and 3 block thick walls. There would be battlements with skeletons perched on top, firing at you as you try to breach the walls. Once inside, there would be a mass of zombies and hostile pigmen. Underneath the castle there is a large basement with a lot of chests and spiders. Taking over a castle is very hard due to the amount of enemies.
Well, that's all folks! Leave a comment on which ideas you liked and which ones you didn't and leave ideas for improvements!
