I'm just requesting a recipe change for the bow. Wooden sticks don't make sense because when you make a bow, you get a raw piece of wood and shave it down into a bow shape. Sticks are never used as bows.
Yeah, that would make sense, but in the end the wooden piece of the bow is pretty thin, so I think it is ok either way.
btw f**k apple, get a pc.
"PC" stands for "personal computer", which I am using. Besides, switching from Apple would force me to go to something stupid like Microsoft. I don't see a reason to even consider going back there.
The gem of Minecraft is that you can truly "play" the game by discovering the crafting recipes and the item's uses without a wiki or other sources. The first time I ever tried making a bow, I used a similar recipe:
The white wool is string. It didn't work, so I tried making it wider.
It still didn't work. On the next try, I got it right. I would have NEVER used raw wood. :tongue.gif:

I am meowing at my lung’s fullest. I would even argue that the echo that reverberates back to me is the voice of someone I know…
I'm OK with the recipe for bows. It's the type of recipe where it shapes out what the final product looks like. The string is along one side in a line, and the sticks make the rest of the shape. You aren't putting in the ingredients that would make a bow you're putting in what would BE a bow :>

This.
If common sense says to use sticks, It works better that way.
Applying realism to minecraft...
3 nondescript bars of iron doesn't make a bucket
A stick attached to two (1 meter x 1 meter x 1 meter) blocks of wood doesn't make a sword, neither does a stick attached to two blocks of stone, neither does a stick attached to two bars of iron, and neither does a stick attached to two nondescript bits of diamond.
Same with all of the other tools.
You don't punch 1m x 1m x 1m blocks of wood from trees.
You don't rip 1m x 1m x 1m blocks of wood into four 1m x 1m x 1m blocks of planks.
You can't fit 64 1m x 1m x 1m blocks of anything into a 1m x 1m x 1m meter, no matter how hard you push.

I realized I was god when I tried praying and found I was talking to myself.

And in the old days, you could carry multiple tonnes of gold, but not even a pigs worth of bacon

The recipes generally make sense in Minecraft, though.
