I am just beginning to create adventure maps. However, I noticed a few things in creative mode that hinder it. Here are some suggestions to Jeb to make this easier:
Placable and Programmable Mob Spawners: Placing mob spawners is one thing, but you can't get them to produce anything other than pigs at the moment. My idea is thus: After you place the spawner, if you right click on it, a list of different mobs pops up. You can choose any mob on the list, and voila! You have a hot and toasty mob spawner ready to go!
Potions in Creative Mode: As of now, we cannot spawn potions out of thin air like we can everything else. This makes it difficult to provide players of the future adventure map with the wide variety of potions introduced in 1.0. Allowing us to spawn these in creative mode will be much easier than spawning ingredients and brewing them yourself.
If I think of any more ideas to add to this list, I will add them. Until then: comments and opinions please.

If they make mob eggs smash after being shot out of dispensers we wouldn't really need mob spawners. You could load it up with 576 eggs and let it run.

Using TooManyItems And Risugami's mod ( Spawner GUI ) allows you to do both of these
I would download that, but I'm horrible with computers. I'm hoping beyond hope that this gets added into the game... or I could wait until mod support comes out. Thanks for the suggestion though.
