So I was sitting with the family at the Christmas family reunion-thing, talking with my cousin, and we had a GREAT idea for what the Dragon Egg could be for!
First, if you build a nest for the egg using twigs, dead grass and things of that nature, then set the egg in it, in a number of in-game days a baby white dragon would hatch from it. If you take care of it for a while, eventually it would turn into a red, friendly dragon that you could ride with a giant saddle, but if you neglected it, it would turn into a regular ender dragon for you to fight. For both, after they mature, more will start spawning (but rarely.)
Keep the dragon egg in one spot and keep it well-lighted(incubated).
After 7 minecraft days the dragon egg cracks and destroys and a new dragon spawns in the end.
Red dragon lairs(independent of the end or dragon egg) will spawn in the middle of mountains.
Red dragons stay sitting in one spot but have a long distance flame thrower move.
Make sure you're using a bow or have high fire resistance, it will also set fire to the blocks the attack touches(like ghast explosions).
The dragon will rotate or move its head up or down depending on your location.
When the red dragon is killed it yields 6 levels of exp.
It sits in front of a chest containing same things as a dungeon chest but with higher chance of special items?

So what do you guys think?
Right... then it would have to be just an aggresive dragon that remains white.
Perhaps breaking a stick against a stone wall would yield a twig, and burned tall grass becomes dead grass.
Also, On a scientifical note, If they start spawning more, How? They have no mates, Since there is only 1 enderdragon.

It doesn't matter what Notch said, remember that Jeb's the one pulling the strings now.
The statement above is false.
