I think that there should be Zombie villages and they would be filled with a new mob call zombie villagers who don't burn in the sun light and only spawn in zombie villages and they could drop rotten flesh just like normal zombies and look like villagers but in zombie mode. The villages would be like the normal npc villages but destroyed a little and some cobwebs around.
I got this. How about, an NPC village has a 1% chance of spawning with a zombie villager. If he goes near other villagers, they get infected. If you get bitten by one, you have a 10% chance of being "permanently poisoned" where it's just like getting poisoned by Cave Spiders, but it won't fade away, and milk doesn't help.

Let's think about Minecraft. Building a house to survive the night to find diamonds to go to the nether to get blaze powder to go to a reduntend land to kill a beast that has no reason to be killed to see some credits, all of which being completely reduntent, because you can always just not play.
The point is, it's a fun game, and "redundent" things would add DEPTH to the game, make it more fun.
