clicking yes or no to adventure to a new area? sorry, that sounds terrible.
I'd rather want him to include the aether tbh :tongue.gif:
That is why it is so difficult to make a game, it is almost impossible to please everyone :smile.gif:
Maybe that is what makes a fun challenge though..
You only click yes or no the first time and the video only plays once just to make it feel more epic I guess. Also you do not have to travel to the new land, and you can return back whenever you want to. Besides my idea is not set in stone, it is constantly changing in this conversation haha.
Imo, it is a pretty solid solution to minimizing the amount of dimensions.

wouldn't really call the end a dimension, more off a boss room.

I think that is the most challenging part about making games, making everyone and I respect Mojang such a darn good job so far.
Anyway, the yes or no alongside the movie would only happen once just to make the story feel a little more... epic. After that you would be able to travel back and forth however many times you would like, without the same message on every trip.
Imo, this is a pretty strong solution to solving the problem with making many dimensions.

Actually, Iv'e been thinking about having The End be a " main dimension" complete with it's own boss portal to the enderdragon, and then have the overworld have a separate boss and boss dimension.
Sorry for the double post, I thought my posts were not going through, but I just realized by stupidity and realized that my posts were on page 2.. fml
Back on task..
My idea does not have to be specifically for the end; in fact, it can be used for basically anything, after you finish something or accomplish it, you have the ability to travel to new lands where you have access to new blocks that can only be used there. There could be a large number of these lands, without the need to keep making new dimensions.

well, if it's not used for the end that kinda' ruins the reason I made this topic, so that after you beat the enderdragon there's actually something to keep you playing.
I mean for now it can be used for the end, but the concept itself can be used for other things if there ever comes a need.
Also, killing the dragon will not always be the end, Mojang are without a doubt going to add new things, probably other bosses etc.
It is hard thinking of how the end should look like especially when we do not really know the future plans of Mojang, so it will just keep us guessing honestly.
END(noun/verb)
A point that marks the extent of something.
The End should be just that - an end. Like you say, it's a sandbox game, so I'm not sure why you're bored when you beat the Enderdragon.
Personally, I am not bored after killing the enderdragon. In fact, I usually play creative and build towns so I don't really take notice to the dragon anymore. Anyway, a sandbox game has no end, until you completely go brain dead and can't think of what else to build :biggrin.gif:

How about we do it both ways?
My topic is sort of about increasing the time and things to do Before you fight the enderdragon (since it's supposed to be the final boss)
And your topic is about what to do after you beat the enderdragon.
What do think about a merger between our threads? I'll have a link to your topic, you have a link to mine, and we'll share ideas that may fit with eachothers respective threads. If an idea pops up in my thread, and it suits your thread better, I'll direct the user here, and you do the same but for my thread.

There can't possibly be nothing left to do. I'll give you a list. Tick off the one's you've done already:
Make a huge wheat farm.
Make a cactus farm.
Make a sugar cane farm.
Automate the three farms above.
Make a suit of Diamond Armour.
Enchant your armour with enchants you bought with 50 EXP each.
Make a Slime Farm.
Go out exploring and find a Mushroom Biome.
Make a Mooshroom Farm.
Make an art gallery.
Make a potion brewing room.
Make a library.
Make an automated mob spawner/grinder.
Get the Enderdragon egg using pistons and put it on display in the overworld.
Make pixel art of your favourite 8-bit characters.
Make pixel art of your favourite 16-bit characters.
Be a Redstone genius. On survival.
Build a statue of your favourite Minecraft Youtuber.
Once all that is done, I will allow you to tell me that there is nothing left to do on survival.
Some of those aren't really survival, but whatever

This >
I agree, but mojang said it's a dimension, so no use thinking otherwise =/
Then you might find more pleasure in my thread /self advertising
I do kind of agree, we shouldn't have to dirrectly choose yes or no.
Instead just have the player do what they wish, and maybe no dialog either, as this is minecraft after all.
HOW DARE YOU ADVERTISE >:ohmy.gif: /jk
anyways, as I said, this isn't complete, so none of this is final.

What do think?
I won't get sand in my shoes will I?
(You mean "all dem dimensions" right?)
Some of those aren't really survival, but whatever
Yep! And don't worry, I have a diving suit for you. :wink.gif:
Sort of like a second hard mode play through that some games have? That could work, and It would definitely be interesting.
I was thinking higher damage and health to augment better weapons.
