Rotten flesh can be a surprisingly tasty afternoon snack once you get passed the texture, and I think that if your character eats rotten flesh at least once per day for a while, the chance of food poisoning should start to decrease until it eventually stops all together. If the player stops eating zombie meat, the chances of acquiring the hunger effect from rotten flesh will start to increase again.
I) 0 Minecraft Days of Eating Rotten Flesh = 80% chance.
II) 1 Day = 75%
III) 3 Days = 50%
IV) 5 Days = 25%
V) 10 Days = 5% Chance
If a player goes 5 Minecraft days without eating at least 1 rotten flesh, they go back up 1 tier.
Sounds like a good idea. Adding a bit more realism to the game, which in some cases could be a bad thing. But this, this right here, is quite an interesting idea. Seems like Notch or Jeb would have a hard time with the coding for this integration, though. Seem's like it would take a while to get right.
If it really bothers you just drink some milk. The hunger usually only goes down like one bar (I think standing still after eating helps counter it) and it brings me up to full health.

I'll add a chart to show my idea on how to make it less difficult to code.

Or do this. Maybe cooking it kills some of the nasty parasites in it (Eww... parasites... :blink.gif:)
I think it should stay the same BECAUSE of that. It's a food from killing enemies so the downside is that you have to stand still after you eat it(unless you happen to not get poisoned). I prefer this over getting-used-to-it because it's not supposed to be a stable food source.

Of course, at the same time, exposing your body to something like that on a regular basis would help you build up an immunity (if it doesn't kill ya first :tongue.gif:) The idea of this suggestion is very logical but I feel that for a game, it isn't necessary. And even though I am all for realism, I feel that said realism should never be in a game (I mean honestly, what if Minecraft was realistic... :blink.gif:)

The man who discovered milk... What the HELL was he doing...
It's not about realism, it's about balance and fun. We mine as well get used to poison from cave spiders. I just think it's an odd idea for a game. There's plenty of realism in the game including a sun and gravity but this kind of realism is being too detailed.
I thought maybe if you cook the meat, it becomes Spoiled Flesh. And maybe you slowly get durability to that. After a while, you get a change on normal rotten flesh. It has no reason in the game. Let's just hope that if you drop rotten flesh, mobs don't turn into zombies, that would be freaky <,< Nice idea anyway ^^

I know, I said that at the end :tongue.gif: I mean seriously, what if Minecraft was realistic... :blink.gif:

Good idea? Bad idea? Let me know why.
