You're in survival. You get some diamonds, manage to dodge some Creepers and when you're near the exit of the ravine, BAM! You take an arrow to the knee and die. Most of reactions would be:
-Man, i hate these Skeletons. They aren't cool at all! The Creeper is nice, the Enderman is a pro, Spiders are a challenge but Sketons are just cowards! I wish i could remove them.
Then, my friend, i have the solution:
Minecraft Advanced Customization
This is the new "difficulty"! With this, you can choose many things, like spawn frequency, stats of mobs and your own stats! (unabled in hardcore mode)
Now you can fight the endless waves of Skeletons, survive in a zombie apocalypse, create a last stand against the creeper's explosions or face the death in a world full of endermans while you have a limited supply of food!
The (possibly) new system works like this: In the More World Option there will be some buttons(Mobs, Biomes and Stats). Click one will open a small menu, where you can change lots of stuff!
Exemple: Create New World>More World Options>Mobs>Zombie
Spawn rate: 0%----------------100% (Changing this increase or decrease the spawn rate of the mob)
HP: 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 9 - 10 (The number of hearts that a mob has)
Damage: 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 9 - 10 - (The number of damage in hearts that the mob deals, :VV:11 = insta-kill)
Now let's create a realistic zombie apocalypse!
Spawn rate: 75%
(The total number here can be lower than 100%, resulting in a less common spawn)
HP: 6
Damage: 10 (default instakill without armor)
There you go! Now grab a bow and kill some green-skinned mobs!
Exemple2: Create New World>More World Options>Biomes (Warning, this just can't work with the actual minecraft system generation using seeds, but i will leave this here for future consultation)
*The wolfs have extra options, like taming on/off and they already spawning agressive/passive.
(The total number here can be lower than 100%, resulting in a less common spawn)
The possibilities are endless! You can fight an uber-powered Enderman! Or kill weak and helpless creepers! You can check out each mobs configuration below!

Interesting idea but with the current method that determines the generation of a world it is not possible. The seed is decided by the characters you insert into the box and what they are interpreted as. Two things, you could enter a seed number and apply these effects and it will result in a crash because the seed entered cannot be rendered when it's options are changed i.e. biomes. Secondly removing the seed option and just selecting your own options would result in all the chunks being the same layout but re-arranged; because the map cannot randomly generate as there is no seed to use.
This... Is bad. i guess i'll have to remove the biome thing.
On a side note, i found out that there are more minecraft forum users that i thought O.o

You have done a simply amazing job at formulating, developing, and organizing this idea. It is a very cool idea and you've suggested it with eloquence and creativity. For a non-English speaker you do better then half the people on this forum.

I was thinking about that. Thought it's very hard that this makes to vanilla, if a nice modder could make this, it would be great.
Hardcore would be pure vanilla, without these options. But otherwise, if the guy wants a cakewalk, why not?
