Instead of having entire world built of one biome, I think the worlds should be modeled a bit more like earth. Desert biomes near the equator, cold/winter biomes in the north/south poles, cold biomes at the top of large mountains, large oceans separating entire continents. Of course to make this feasible, the world would have to be round instead of flat.
Or perhaps the option to choose between the current system and this one. Rather than having 6 different games with 6 different biomes, one could fully enjoy their world and one could use common knowledge in finding much needed resources (as opposed to luck)
There are more than one biomes. If you travel far enough you will enter a new one. They enhanced the size of the biome generation system causing them to be much larger and more uniform.
With 10 minutes of flying you should've seen 10 different biomes.

No, there has never, ever been a sandbox game with a story or ending... except Grand Theft Auto... and Saints Row... and Red Dead Redemption... and Crack Down... and Assassins Creed...
