This has probably been suggested already, but it would be cool if cloth was added to Minecraft.
The way I see it:
You get 9 sheets of cloth for every block of wool and you would be able to place it on walls like paintings or on the floor like snow or basically any surface you want to place it on.
If you want your couch you made out of stairs look more like couch, put cloth on it, etc.
It's not a bad idea, but: Survival. Not building pretty houses, survival. That's why this will most likely never be implemented in to Vanilla Minecraft
Technically, wool is actually called cloth :3
But your idea is great, you could make mad patterns, etc.
hope my input helped, :tongue.gif:, have a happy christmas

Then why is colored wool in survival? Or Lapis Lazuli Blocks. Or the new upside down staircases that will be added in 1.2. Or paintings. Think first. "Surviving" quickly becomes boring even on hardcore mode. "Thriving" on the other hand, is infinite.
I would welcome a multi-purpose cloth item (for awnings and such as well)

Same goes for leather, too!

I think it should be added.
